Fal > Al Fine >>> Torta > Lise

they were all good, but maaannnn Fal's. the pacing of Al Fine was excellent considering I just read Torta's right before

also song tier list gogogo

Melody >>> Ame no Musique (can practically play it blindfolded now) > Secret (which I don't have unlocked for Free Play yet, wtf?) > Lyceene > Hello > The Other Side of the Sky > I'm Always Close to You > Even When Crying >>>> Always Smiling (like the lyrics, **** the raindrop sounds)

finished Umineko 7, holy crap it was boring until 6 years before Rokkenjima then finally started exploding my mind like usual

back to Daibanchou... got the PGG down to two territories then the Nightmare Eyes suddenly declare on me, wtf I'm getting owned. Is there any way to stop the Hell Hole territory from spawning multiple zombie dudes every turn? It's really stretching my forces thin :/

Umineko 7 Tea Party = best part of the series

And you can just abandon that territory, or put some minimal forces there. You must be going awfully slow to be fighting two enemies at once.

or give up and finish Symphonic Rain tbqh

Yeah, if you're fighting NE and PGG at the same time then you need to pick up the pace. And abandon the Hell Hole if it's giving you trouble; you can always retake it later on when you're in a more stable position.

Did you wait for PGG to attack you instead of attacking them first? You should take the fight them right off the bat. Well, not right off the bat, but after you've conquered the surround neutral territories. And do you have enough generics for garrison duty? First time I played BBA I was in a sort of Sengoku Rance mindset and shunned generics, but you really want as many them as you can to free up your characters for fighting.

On a related note, I'm finding free internet translated Daiteikoku to be surprisingly understandable!

God yes. 'the executioner' or whatever it was is pretty win tier music too.

I kinda think Kyrie's my favorite character now. Perhaps.

Well, not right off the bat, but after you've conquered the surround neutral territories. And do you have enough generics for garrison duty? First time I played BBA I was in a sort of Sengoku Rance mindset and shunned generics, but you really want as many them as you can to free up your characters for fighting.

Yeah, I did. I took over a bunch of independent territories and didn't waste any turns being unproductive, but I wanted to be safe since I wasn't even sure if there was a weird trigger that caused me to be attacked by multiple factions or something.

And I mean I'm literally one single turn away from taking the PGG out (sans the desert chick, but she doesn't seem to put up a fight), but if I put enough forces into that territory to take over it, I'm screwed out of two or three other territories, and no matter what it seems like Tokyo gets taken the next turn.

I WAS going about it pretty wrong, though.. I was so obsessed with not taking out more loans that I released all the generics. It wasn't till recently that I actually fully understood everything >_>

Also, I seem to be on the wolf chick's arc. I wanted Senna, damnit :( oh well, that's what second playthroughs are for!

Anyways, I think I'm gonna restart the National chapter, even though it slightly pisses me off to do so. My team at the beginning of it: Rouga, Gou, Kunagi, Sanae, Yuuki, Jinnai, Erika's gang, Nanana, Kinako, Aya, Kyouko, and Jun. Early on in the National chapter, I got Kuga, Yuma, Touma(killed the chick, lol), and had the prettyboy dude for about two days before I realized HOLY CRAP 99 UPKEEP and fired him. I also tried to start recruiting generics near the end of PGG's life, but uh, the only one I had was terrible. And he died. :(

Is there anything I should be rushing to get? Guess I shouldn't try to rush to get Touma, for one, but after rushing Yokohama and whatever non-crappy territories are nearby, should I pretty much immediately declare on PGG?

Also, since Senna leaves early on in the national chapter, does that mean I'm stuck in Kunagi's arc or can I enter, like, the SU president's later? >_> I pretty much played blindly until partway through National. Is trying to increase Mental as often as possible when there aren't any injured/tired guys a good idea, or should I save up for other stuff?

Last thing I'm confused about; Income rating is only useful when Gou tells you that payday's on the next turn, and that other blue stat's used every turn to prevent the lowering of public order, right?

There's only Senna and Kunagi routes, determined by whose plan you follow in the district chapter, but you can get the endings for the other girls by H-ing them a lot.

Income is only calculated once every 4 turns when Gou tells you about it, so make sure you've got everyone deployed nicely to get the most out of your territories. The blue number is law, and iirc you will suffer an order hit in a single region as long there's a region below 100 law (only applies to the regions under 100 of course). Even so it helps to have plenty of generics spread around to restore order.

Only get the neighboring territories that produce income at first. Dream Island and Hawaii, I think, require buildings before they can make any money. So get Yokohama and whatever else and go after the PGG right away. You should be able to finish them off and then move on to Nightmare Eyes before they declare war on you. There's nothing you really need to rush early on. I think the first thing you might need to push for is saving Ulruka (against NE).

The best way to get generics is to stockpile them in the school and district chapters since there's not a lot going on there and they're cheap, but once you get to national you should persuade prisoners, otherwise you have to waste a turn recruiting them. I forget which ones are the best types. PGG and Kansai students are pretty good, I think.

Increasing mental is good. And build Curry Wolfs when you have the money to do so.

So yeah, I've restarted about twice because I was an idiot and forgot to talk to the SU then had my people die like four times in a row >_> finally got an optimized first few turns, at least!

There's only Senna and Kunagi routes, determined by whose plan you follow in the district chapter, but you can get the endings for the other girls by H-ing them a lot.

Ahhh. I rushed the bikers because I wanted Aya, apparently I missed the plan thing <_<

Yeah, I was rushing Yokohama turn one, took them over turn two with one unit while stationing all my fighters in Shinjuku, then took it over long enough to get Touma before abandoning it and immediately attacked the PGG. I think I had them down in about 10 turns last time before the friggin' SU told everyone to nom me.

The best way to get generics is to stockpile them in the school and district chapters since there's not a lot going on there and they're cheap, but once you get to national you should persuade prisoners, otherwise you have to waste a turn recruiting them. I've gotten more serious about capturing guys now. Found out that recruitable students from Tokyo are good, but execs are also pretty nice. And actually not useless on defense with high hit rates and medium attack range, yess.

Time to reload it and see where I ragequitted last night, woot!

Tsukhime, probably. I can't really remember E17's length, but its longer than Tsukihime. Umineko has freakin' 8 parts which are somewhat lengthy individually; I've never finished one in a day. You can finish one arc in Tsukihime each day if you try.

It's also the oldest, so you might lol at the art style at first, but its one of the greats.

(also gsen >>> all of them put together imho)

The Umineko art style gets endearing after a while. I thought it was a huge detriment at first, too, but the plot, music, atmosphere, everything else makes up for it. And by the beginning of the Answer arcs, I loved it for the personality it gives Umineko.

Just make sure you're ready to think outside the box and brainstorm hard when you're reading. It's good when you're reading, but it's godlike to hear the protagonist parrot your arguments or have an antagonist immediately strike down your theories.

Also make sure you're ready to read at least the first two before giving it up as boring, because Umineko is a case where the boring parts really drag on. But every bit of character development is worth it a few hours later when the plot picks up an explosive pace.
