Haha yes. They keep trying so hard to bring him back, and it never works.

Also, BB2, BB6, and BB7 are definitely the 3 best seasons. This seems like a pretty general consensus here too. I didn't even see all of 2, and I still knew it was amazing because of Will. I need to rewatch that one sometime.

Yeah, Janelle was disqualified because she accidentally reacted by taking one of her hands off her key, thus ending the endurance challenge 15 seconds in. So good.

And Boogie saying "scrubika" is SO AWESOME. Okay, I'm at peace now with him winning.

Awesome. Finished. I've now seen BB2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, and 12 to their entirety. I've only seen half of 9 and 11 - not sure if I care enough to finish them (I know who wins and all that, plus the entire boot order of 11).

I may still use this topic for other stuff beyond just waiting for BB13. Maybe I'll start ranking something like my favorite heroes/villains from Survivor.

I started rewatching Micronesia.

I just finished the first two episodes. Wow, I can actually remember when the season seemed like it had potential. Fairplay's early boot is disappointing, but episode 2 was good. There was still the hope that the amazing alliance of Yau, Eliza, and Penner would last. The fans had some hilariously awful people like Joel and Kathy.

Yeah, I'm not looking forward to episode 3, because the entire season turns to s*** from there on out. I'll see if I can somehow appreciate it more, knowing that it sucks in advance.

I'm liking Micronesia so far this time. Last episode I watched was the Kathy quit / Tracy boot episode. Maybe because it feels so different from a number of the last seasons. We actually have an even distribution of screen time between the contestants, and I feel like we know them pretty well. Aside from Yau-Man, who luckily wasn't shown much, because it would have made his early boot that much harder. And Natalie, who evolves later. And maybe Ami, who sucked in her first season, so I don't give a s***.

Another thing, is that it feels so fresh seeing all these challenges. This season actually had a lot of great challenges, and this was probably the last time that Survivor had true ocean challenges. Because since then we had Gabon and Tocantins, where I don't remember many water challenges. Then Samoa twice, where the ocean usage was really limited. Then Nicaragua twice, where the ocean couldn't be used. Correct me if I'm wrong on any of that, but it still feels like this was the first time I was seeing the ocean used in challenges since Micronesia originally aired. Palau really was a fantastic location. They had great wildlife and scenery, and were able to use so much there. They should go back.

And, this season seemed more unpredictable. Votes weren't stacked in obvious ways (Even Chet and Fairplay's elimination showed no votes for anyone else, which is always really unusual). The episodes seemed edited to make it seem like there were a lot more possibilities, instead of sticking to a narrative of one character who was just deciding between two people. Since they evenly edit people, we see so many choices. And it works in terms of making the strategy more interesting, and more importantly, the characters more interesting.

And back to the characters. It's a shame at the order the fans got eliminated in. For some reason I remember hating Mikey B on my first watch. I have absolutely no idea why. I didn't see anything to hate about him this time. He was logical, reasonable, and he wasn't even arrogant. He seemed to be playing a really solid game, and it was because of the fact that Joel was playing a mid-game at the beginning of the game that Mikey B left. Joel was also a player that I don't think is as bad as a lot of people think. He's actually a smart guy, and was just playing too hard for his own good. He was more done in by Tracy and Cirie, who are obviously superior players, but in any other season, I think Joel could have a legitimate shot. Then of course there was Tracy, who had a good game going, maybe lucked into the fact that Joel was playing hard early on, then got screwed by a tribal shuffle, and s****y Chet quitting. So you end up with probably 3 of the best strategic fan players going before the merge, and instead, you are left with Erik who wants Ozzy sexually, and Jason who is also one of the biggest air heads the game has ever seen. And since they didn't edit Natalie in until later, that makes things worse. And Alexis is just like a narrator who has no real personality, kind of like Amanda.

Sadly though that scene leads back to the downfall of Chill Town as well. Also Will should have made more moves on Janelle. He let too much distance fall between them.

Or at least that's what the edited TV segments portrayed.

Nah, Will did fine. He was one errant veto away from winning the game a second time. Will and Boogie walked into the game wearing Chill Town T-Shirts for the most part and rode the game like a pony to the final four. It would have been stupid for either of the girls to let them both make the final three, regardless of relationship.
