Evening. Makes the most sense to me. You've been out and about all day so you're at your dirtiest. As long as you don't sweat a bunch in your sleep, you should be ok for the next day. But I do generally rinse and dry my hair in the morning so I don't have bed head

My answer isn't quite there. I shower in the evening or night because I can't sleep without a shower. However, I do not wish to subject others to stench. Please do not put words in people's mouths. Once I've been outside, I will not touch my bed until I've had a shower.

• It's freaking cold in the morning in winter and in summer a shower to cool off from the afternoon heat is great
• Go to bed clean instead of dirty from the past 24 hours
• My wife gets a lot closer to me than my co-workers and I care about protecting her from my stench way more than them
• During allergy season, it's a common suggestion to shower when you get home to wash the pollen off
• I'm not a morning person, so no way in hell am I waking up earlier so I can shower
• Related w/ the prior point, I do any exercising or walks after work, not at the ass crack of dawn, so showering after that makes the most sense

Nighttime so I can go to bed clean.

I only shower if I'm dirty, sweaty, or if it's been a few days and I'm due to do some laundry. I usually shower in the afternoons/evenings because of my roommate's sleeping schedule. I only use soap to scrub off dirt and I only use shampoo before I go see my girl or if I have to meet up with someone for business.

Evening so I go to bed clean and my sheets stay clean longer.

If it's hot, I shower before bed (helps me be cool enough to fall alseep).

If I have sex, I shower afterwards (or masterbate).

If I am going to work, I shower before (in the morning). It helps me wake up and makes sure I'm not stinky.

If I do any kind of extreme labor, moving someone, a long hike etc, I shower afterwards even in the middle of the day.

If I have a bad headache, I often shower to try and get rid of it, washing my hair usually helps.

I never go more then a day without at least one shower.

Might be the first time I ever agreed with you on something. The answers in here are both baffling and eye opening. Bunch of nasty asses. Then again I live in a hot country and can't afford not to bathe my ass before I go out.

Cause if you shower at both times, your choice to single out only the night showering people is rather baffling.

Certainly you must realise going to bed "sweaty and gross" is totally different than the reverse of going outside to someone's workplace like that. You can't be serious. And are making a false equivalence. Who cares about your state in the privacy of your home. I bathe at 7:15 every morning I like cold showers.

Nobody in the tropics is gonna be waiting till nighttime to bathe for the first time lol. In fact your parents will cut your tail if you ever tried that as a child. That's when you bathe the 2nd time for most here. If I'm not going out (which is never these days) then I just wash my face and brush my teeth in the evening not bathe again. But with work or formerly gym I'd bathe again. The only time I didn't bathe in the day was when I worked security on the graveyard shift. I'd come off at 6am and crash. And even then I'd still wash up before I went to sleep dog tired. Then I'd get up round 2-3pm and bathe properly before gettin ready for work.

I'm going to bed now (without showering! ha!) but I'll add this is a culture thing. Some people might be living in cold countries where you don't sweat and not have to bathe more than once. But even then I still don't get why you'd choose the morning to not shower when that's the time you gonna be around other people. There's zero excuse if you somewhere hot. My niece talked about this when she moved to Germany. That many people don't bathe in the morning there and some of the guys really stank in class and people would laugh at them. She still did it in the morning (shower) most times even in winter because thats what she was accustomed to here. A few times she didn't because there was no moisture from the cold, but was still super paranoid so she packed on tons of deodorant lol. Those people in class shoulda done the same thing but I guess they don't care. I would hope the ones in here have more sense and use strongass deodorant if they do that shit.

The whole point of waiting till you get home to shower is that you shouldn't be sweating much for the rest of the evening, it gets cooler and you're not working/exercising anymore...
Also, my wife very much cares about my "state" at home. I guess if you live alone it doesn't matter as much, aside from "stewing in your own juices" overnight...

Which isn't something that will make you smell if you wash yourself daily and your bedspread regularly. It's at least not going to make you smell unless it's like those weird smell-sensitive people that can tell who's drink is who's by smelling the cup

I don't understand how you don't get it's worse to be going outside (especially to someones workplace) without showering, than staying inside. You will be stewing regardless at night. Easily fixed when, you know, you will solve all that when you get up in the morning**. That's why night time is being singled out. Because it's not a good option. Its nonsensical if you in a hot place. So either you shower once, in the morning, or you do it twice morning and night. Only nighttime is a non starter. If your wife is that bothered bathe twice wtf.

**I didn't even address the toilet thing. Most people use it on mornings since that's your body eliminating waste after processing while you sleep. That's why you want to pee bad when you wake up or even during night. I always take a shit in the morning after my tea (coffee works good too) so shower is next. By the time the morning is in full swing and you ready for work you should be very refreshed not still stale from the night before. This is a no brainer.

I absolutely see why it makes more sense to shower at night, but I cant do it. If I dont shower in the morning and feel all refreshed, I just feel gross all day.

Plus, when my hair is a bit longer, it gets all messy while Im sleeping and I have to run it under the shower ANYway to reset it, so I might as well just take the whole shower in the morning

Seriously though. Its hard to "smell yourself" unless its really strong. Either when you just showered and put on deodorant or you really stink. If it's the latter then it's too late, you been stinking a good while and other people have long since noticed. On that note I have some stunning news. I not long took my morning shower and am super alert and refreshed. Also smelling like a glorious perfumed flower meadow from a fantasy world. You night only shower people can put that in your pipe and smoke it.
