Board 8 > Anyone else really love showers?

I mean, like, I think its one of my favorite parts of the day. Thats not a knock against my day either, I just really dig showers.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact, that ever since I was a kid, I got bad migraines and showers were always a great way to at least numb the pain while I was in there.

Now my wife gets all that Bath and Body works stuff and it smells AMAZING in there.

TBH I hate them, always have. It's basically just a daily chore to me, and I refuse to become one of those people that showers twice a day.

I'm on #TeamShower too. That Bath and Body Works shit is indeed great, my girlfriend got me some body washes from there for Christmas and I really like them. Been alternating between them and Old Spice in order to ration 'em out.

I didn't get the really bad mirgraines until my twenties, but I will back the fact that a nice hot shower can make for great temporarily relief.

Yes. Every day. Sometimes twice a day, when I do some physical activity in the morning which makes me want a second shower at night. I feel weird if it's 7 PM and I haven't showered.

Hell yeah, especially when I was younger. I used to get lightly scolded for taking too long. When I started living alone, one of the highlights was being free to take as long as I wanted in the shower

I used to really enjoy showers, they were often very relaxing and soothing.

But my new job is really gross and tiring. So when I get home, I have to shower right away, despite being dead tired and spend a lot of time washing the grease and raw chicken off of me, so it just becomes a chore.

i love showers. i shower right after waking up, and i love dozing off standing under the hot water. it's so relaxing... one of the highlights of my day and I get to do it every day

I'm often in there for like 20+ minutes, and it really pisses my brother off. I don't really plan on changing, though. We have a hot tub and honestly relaxing in the hot tub is only like half as enjoyable as dozing off in the shower which I was already always doing....

The showers themselves are okay bordering on good. But I associate it with getting ready for work/school so I don't fancy them.

They're fine. I don't find them exciting, but I don't mind taking them.

Scratch that, if I'm having butt problems that toilet paper can't solve, then I do enjoy the relief that comes from showers. Otherwise, they're just fine.

Showers are the absolute best.

The feeling of solitude, the feeling of a fresh start, the ability to be naked and lost in thought, the heat, getting 100% clean, and the privacy are all so great. i can be efficient, but losing track of time during 15-plus minute showers is the bomb. It's like a mini massage.

Downsides of showers:

1) the hot water runs out eventually (fix: hotel showers. downside: you're in a hotel)
2) you have to get out of the shower and go to work (fix: take the loss, and remember to enjoy a shower on saturday)
3) extended exposure to hot water is bad for your skin (fix: who cares about skin quality? i guess apply lotion sometimes)

Note that the only things that prevent showers from being perfect are all forces from the outside world that force the shower to end. Of course, if there's something wrong with your setup (shower head too low, poor water flow/temperature, etc), I feel for you.

those of you who like showers, i highly recommend going to a spa/russian bathouse/whatever they're called. memberships can be kind of cheap.

The house I grew up and usually live in has a massive water tank and relatively poor water pressure, which means that the hot water never runs out, which is great because I love to take extremely hot, long showers.

The place I'm currently staying at now uses gas to heat the water, so while the water doesn't ever go cold, the gas does eventually run out every couple weeks, often at the worst time. Nothing like just hopping into a shower only to realize there's no hot water and you've gotta go outside and change the tank. It has also significantly cut down my shower time knowing that there is only a finite amount of gas to use.

In conclusion, I am devastated.
