The main issue is that most pornstars are addicted to drugs. Some can get in and out of the business and move on to do something else and it doesn't have to be a famous job either.

But a lot of them fall into that trap with nothing but plastic surgery, drugs, and abuse. So they die early.

Yeah the internet community is pretty awful for shit like that, ever so often Ill see if someone is still doing porn or where some other stuff is and the one time I looked it up and was some forum where they doxxed the chick and spammed her significant other and employer. To be fair, at least part of that is probably because she's absolutely terrible at sports commentary, and part of it is because she kind of comes across like a grade-A bitch.

The image she presents is an attention whore desperate for fame, who tried to parlay porn into mainstream popularity (or at least "Internet celebrity"), and the fact that it failed to work has turned her bitter.

Whether that's actually the case or not is harder to say, and most of us will never really know what her actual situation is, but she doesn't really do herself all that many favors, and that in turn makes it easier for people to dislike her. Whereas plenty of other female porn stars don't necessarily seem to reap the same degree of negativity.

Though in her case, it also doesn't help that her situation is even more complicated by the whole Muslim thing. She's mentioned getting death threats over the hijab and playing it up, and that may be part of why she left porn as quickly as she did. But as long as she keeps trying to stay in the public eye, the consequences of that are going to linger longer.

Like all industries there are good companies and bad companies and Mia found one of the bad ones. From what I heard some guy basically plucked her off of a college campus and put her in some of his films. Not a great way to enter the industry.

The worst part of that is that she was 100% right. Everyone reduced the whole thing to "Oh, you just don't like gay people", but the thing most people don't realize is that straight porn and gay porn tend to have different standards for disease testing, and gay porn tends to be much more dangerous in that respect.

It's actually made it really difficult for actors in gay porn to make the jump to straight porn, at least not without giving up gay porn entirely and submitting to some pretty rigorous testing beforehand to prove that they're still healthy.

It's an entirely reasonable stance for an actress to be hesitant to do scenes with a gay actor if they're not confident that they've been tested thoroughly. You're not just risking your own health and well-being, but also your career.

I can only really judge her based on how she was on Sportsball, but she came across as dismissive of any sport that didn't directly interest her, and not overly informed about the sports she did claim to care about, which really isn't a good look for anyone trying to present themselves as a sports analyst.

That plus her personality seeming somewhat disagreeable means I have very little interest seeking her out as a media figure.

It feels like the only cachet she has to work with at all is her prior reputation, which she sort of coasts on while simultaneously condemning it, which can come across as somewhat hypocritical. Literally the only reason anyone in this topic knows who she is at all or cares enough to even acknowledge this story is because she fucked dudes on camera while pretending to be a Muslim.

Supposedly she was only in porn for about three months. But the other thing to consider it, when you're in porn, it's not like you're clocking in every day and fucking multiple people. It's contract work more than anything.

Generally speaking, you go in for a day or two, shoot, and then get paid a couple thousand or so (depending on how famous you are - established names get more, newbies get less). Someone can be in porn for a year and still only have a dozen scenes or so.

Conversely, if a producer feels like they have a potential star on their hands, they may try and shoot as many scenes as possible (under the assumption that the actress is going to leave the industry), and then just keep releasing banked videos over time, so someone who retired two years ago can still have new videos come out as if they were still filming them.

$12k doesn't actually seem like a bad payday for the number of scenes she apparently did, especially considering she was a nobody when she filmed them. She'd likely be able to negotiate for a much higher payout if she went back and did more now, though. But she might also be able to make even more (for doing less) if she can parlay her rep into camwhoring or an actual legitimate career.

That's actually a deliberate career path for a lot of girls in porn - do a ton of videos quick early on for lower pay, then drop out entirely and use your fame to make far more money either doing feature dancing or escort work, because people will pay way more for "fame" than they will if you're nobody.
