MS has exclusivity/priority for games from Bethesda and Activision/Blizzard. If there's at least 3 games you are interested in, and you plan on buying more, it can be worth it. --- Less is more. How could they put out hardware so terrible they had to extend the factory warranty 3 years. As for hardware, within my social circle we went through way more Xboxes than Playstations through the years despite us having more Playstations. In either case, I don't think either platform has significant hardware issues at the moment. OP, why do you want an Xbox?
