Sony also has tons of games on PS+, which saves thousands in game purchases. As for hardware, within my social circle we went through way more Xboxes than Playstations through the years despite us having more Playstations. In either case, I don't think either platform has significant hardware issues at the moment. OP, why do you want an Xbox? Without knowing that, it's hard to say whether you should get one --- Fan of metal? Don't mind covers?
