I've only watched the remake, but I hear the original Suspiria is worth checking out.
I much prefer the original Suspiria. It stuck with me a lot more than the remake. I should look into other Dario Argento movies. I have The Bird with the Crystal Plumage downloaded so maybe that should be my next.
As for other horror recommendations: Misery, The Omen (1976) and Poltergeist.
