Thank you for weighing in. I think its fair to say, and you agree, that a these Youtubers are no good and people would appreciate it if you didnt bring them up. You may also be interested to know that they get engagement by saying deliberately outrageous things people will respond negatively to, so if you are spreading what theyre saying you could be helping them unwittingly. I hope that is all clear.

He has had these "revelations" before.

If it stops him from posting them in the future, it will be the biggest upset on the site since Zelda beat Mario.

And to add to this, this is why I think he knows what he's doing with this stuff. He understands this stuff is unwelcome, claims to admit he knows why it's "problematic" that he posts it, and then keeps posting it anyway. Either he's doing it to annoy people, or he secretly actually believes this stuff and only swears to stop to keep people off his trail.

I think I'm increasingly realizing how deep into the alt right they are, and while I don't watch them I do watch others react to them so you could say not much different. I meant more to be complaining about the general online discourse but if that counts as platforming them I honestly did not mean that.

LMS has been increasingly realizing how deep into the alt right that Drinker and MauLer are for the past two years since people have been telling him constantly that they're deep into the alt right.

Leonhart is right and LMS will not change and then the next time this comes up he'll go "I know it seems like they're alt right but" and then make a five paragraph post about nothing you said.

I'm pretty low key here. I try to respect people I just call them out on double standards and oddities in things they claim which gets some people super mad. Like I'm not saying XIII is virtue signaling as some sort of attack I am saying that because that's literally what he's doing. He's trying to make people feel guilty for telling a troll to stop posting and mocking said troll while simultaneously absolving himself for doing as bad or worse to other posters like MWC.

I honestly don't get how you could ever think I'm a troll if it wasn't "oh no that guy said something I didn't agree with and articulated his point well-- I'm going to pretend he's a troll so I don't have to accept that I might be in the wrong here."

So yeah. Sensitive. And very scary imo.

You aren't low key, you're very high and mighty when you post. You aren't a troll but you think very highly of yourself and assume anyone who sees you differently is a single cell organism.

I actually don't think that highly of myself people just say some really ridiculous stuff around here sometimes and I think people get the wrong idea or defensive because they don't want to accept the thing they said actually was that ridiculous-- easier to keep their thoughts on a pedestal and rag on the guy who dared question them.

For every time I come off as condescending I can probably find 10 times where I don't.

I mean even in this topic I think I've been pretty respectful to everyone but XIII and TomNook7. You'll note other people who I disagreed with I just said "I don't think so here's why" and that was the end of it. Even you I'm not trying to be like, mean to, just trying to address your point.

I think a lot of why people think I'm "high and mighty" here is rep, and a lot is poking the wrong people or topics that give me that rep.

You're free to think otherwise but I'm generally well tolerated on the board and there are just some circles that are really nasty about me-- and really that just comes down to the people who have a problem with me being loud and no one caring enough or knowing enough to correct them.

Honestly I dont have the best grasp of the alt right. And I do genuinely share a lot of their opinions, so it takes a while before I realise how they get there and feel disgusted.

Nah, Lopen is strong willed and isn't afraid to call out bad arguments where he sees them, but I wouldn't consider "condescending" one of his character traits.

Biggest example of course, is MrBeast.

I watch mostly movie review and Let's Play channels. Although even the latter less and less, especially since The Runaway Guys disbanded (and while I don't think what Chuggaaconroy did deserves to tarnish him completely, he definitely needs to sort out his issues).

isolation is really dangerous. i have to assume this sort of content is also pretty addictive and rots your brain.
