Jessica Jones made a reference to Obi-Wan in the latest episode I just watched, so the Star Wars movies are confirmed to be movies in the MCU

Oh I wasn't complaining. It's nice having somewhere to talk about star wars without it devolving into toxic arguments, as tends to happen anywhere else on the internet.

Maybe the next topic should include star wars in the title for real tho

Tom Holland Spider-Man makes a lot of references to Star Wars, including building the Lego Death Star.

She-Hulk.

Took a lot of time to get going which makes you nervous nearing the end on a short episode length show, but Blonsky's gang was quite fun at least. Definitely spent too much time on the phone obsession though, I was definitely thinking "tick-tock She-Hulk we got things to be doing".

Also Wrecker reallllllly felt like he should be able to shed some light on the blood plot to Jen, like you say you're reformed... so surely you would see the significance to explain why you did what you did? I mean why else even bring him in otherwise? 3rd last ep is getting really deep where Jen really should be learning about what's going on and the opportunity was right there but dodged. We know we're still waiting on Daredevil so has to be next week, but then we also need to start setting up this finale conclusion with the intelligencia....

[promo content we've seen] Daredevil comes with Leapfrog as well so it's hard imagine fitting Intelligencia with that... we also know of Matt & Jen chatting at the bar with Jen, giving her advice about her dual-identity. There's also still the red carpet scene still, kind of a lot of stuff in promo material remaining to go on here, but the weird part is that none of it really points to the Intelligencia side of the plot.

If you're talking about Han, I think he was perfect casting. He doesn't play the older Han that we all know and love, he plays a younger version of the character that you could see growing into the original guy.

Thats also the reason I didn't much care for child Leia, she's *exactly* the same character as her older self. Indicating she was just born with a perfect personality that never had to change or grow. I guess a lot of people prefer that approach though.

Nah, I still can't buy that guy became Han in any capacity. I thought he did a fine job playing a character who isn't Han Solo though.

I mean the problem is Han isn't really that old in the original trilogy so saying "well that guy grew up to be Han" is a cop out people don't change that much between late teenage years and late 20s.

I'd counter that the most change someone does is in their early 20s. For me it was even later 20s when I started understanding who I was and how life works.

I can absolutely see a young Han acting in the way he did in the film. He was cocky and arrogant, not taking things seriously when he's in over his head, and he even shoots first. These are all aspects of the character that become more refined as he ages, leading to the Han in the OT.

The hatred directed toward young Han honestly confuses me a bit. I mean, we can accept that a whiny insolent child became the most fearsome and iconic villain in all of film history, but we can't accept that Han may have been a bit different at a younger age?

I would definitely say in general most people do the most changing between teenager and early 30's

Like if Han was 14 or 15 yeah maybe. I think the ages are supposed to be 19 and 29 and yeah I just don't agree people typically change that much in that range. They shouldn't be the exact same and I agree with that but yeah. To me it's just a crutch for lazy character writing to say "well he got older"

Can we though? Anakin in the prequels is generally disliked for a reason.

Emotional maturity comes with both age and experiences. Further, if someone is at the start of their developmental years like 14 or 15 it becomes significantly more plausible that they would change a ton by 29 than if they're more formed at 19.

While, yes, Han Solo could have "seen some shit" that changed him greatly over the years, the fact we need to infer a glut of them to make Solo Solo become A New Hope Solo that means the character is poorly written/cast in Solo. That's really all there is to it. If the standard you're holding your character writing is "well, they could have changed over the years due to things that happened offscreen" then you need higher standards for your character writing.

MCU x Star Wars crossover news: She-Hulk beat Andor viewership last week

Just MCU news: Armor Wars shifted development as a movie rather than a series. Pretty neat for Cheadle.

*edit* realizing the phrase "MCU x Star Wars crossover news" is more exciting than what i meant

Enjoyed it more than the previous two filler episodes but man, this show just has no clue what it wants to do/be. It really feels like this was just a quick way to shove She-Hulk into the MCU without devoting a movie to her.

I'm down for a slice of life MCU show

Yeah, and admittedly I'm not caught up yet, but the first four episodes gave me some genuine laughs that I was not expecting. I thought it was a refreshing spin, if you can't have high budget action scenes then you might as well have witty dialogue. It reminds me slightly of Community.

I couldn't care less about any courtroom drama so I'm glad there's no real focus on it.

This was a fun slice of life but I wish this was like a 20 episode season with more court episodes.

Everything at Blonsky's was great. But man the stuff from waking up after Josh to then was boring.

While not as good as the first four, this episode delivered another Madisynn situation of "minor characters that somehow really work" in this support group. Only two more episodes for Daredevil and Frog-Man to show up.

And next week there's the Werewolf by Night special, featuring this girl.

Yeah, I got fooled for a second. Seemed plausible. Then I realized the account was a misspell.

She-Hulk did not need to be 9 episodes long. There has been a pacing issue with this show, and all of the Jen/She-Hulk drama is doing absolutely nothing for me. So help me if she isn't a super confident badass by the end of this series.

Yeah, the idea of the Disney+ model being the problem here is just wrong. Loki was good, Hawkeye was great. The issue is in the sudden drop in writing quality quite specifically - I don't see how Ms. Marvel is good as a film, and I don't see She-Hulk's issues resolved for that reason as well. She-Hulk is improved by escaping from including any action scenes whatsoever, and THAT is not conducive to a film, imo.

I'd rather have weekly shows than everything dumped at once like Netflix
