Smash does the same good job, MvC DOES look like a professional production. Like, I sort of enjoy Multiversus, but everything melts together into a sort of boring saminess. PSASBR doesn't even try.

American Vampire: I'm just going to say it, and damn the consequences. Vampires are the most played-out concept in all of fiction. Not just monster, but concept in general. Nothing is more overdone than vampires, fang marks on a neck, and predators grappling with their humanity. Even attempts at putting your own spin on it, like this one, are themselves played out.

Multiversus: I don't have much that's interesting to say about Multiversus' art style. I don't blame them for this, I'm sure it was the only way, but everything just looks like it melted into a generic sloppy art style rather than showing each character in their own art style, then unifying them. MvC or Smash does this well, whereas you look at Shaggy and the DC superheroes and they look terrible. It's fine for Superman to look like a generic 1950s man, but Batman really needed to look dark and moodier and gothicier, and he doesn't at all. At least it works for Bugs Bunny and Tom and Jerry!

Donkey Kong Country (TV Series): I've actually had multiple debates with my friends about the ugliest 90s CGI cartoon, and while I once argued that it was this, I can no longer say that after Joshua and the Promised Land and Monster by Mistake. It's ugly and bad, but it does have SOME kind of personality. Don't get me wrong, it's still squarely in F Tier, but the cartoon itself at least has the terrible songs to fall back on.

Toy Story: What a brilliant idea for a movie, even if no kid in the 1990s is playing with cowboys and Flash Gordon action figures. But the only characters who stand out to me are I-No and Bridget; everyone else is completely forgettable. Like, Slayer? Raven? Sol Badguy? Completely uninspired designs, and Sol is the main character. Even Bridget is only memorable because reasons.

Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri: If this game had come out even like four years later, I imagine it would look completely different. The FEELING of the game is so strong, where everything is very serious and down-to-earth and seems so plausible, and the way everything is presented, with the low ominous music and seriousness of the voice acting, is almost horror-esque. It really drives home the idea that you're the last remnants of humanity in a completely unforgiving, unsympathetic universe that doesn't care about you at all and is filled with a million deadly things -- and that the only things that can help you survive are your ideology and knowledge, the latter of which is limited and the former of which can be turned to a destructive extreme in an instant. But the game is so, SO ugly, and it's so hard to see what's happening. The cutscenes are better, but they rely heavily on stock footage of planets in space, protesters with signs, and so on. Whenever you see something the game actually rendered itself, it's ugly as sin.

Alien: Isolation: A perfect translation of the films into video game form, not much else to say about that. Let's instead talk about the series in general. Basically everything except Alien, Aliens, some of the comics, and this is hated. It's not as bad as Terminator in terms of "we just can't make a good thing anymore," but it's pretty bad. Anyway, the idea of being stuck in a ship with a xenomorph and having to scrounge together supplies is good, even if they have to try pretty hard to justify why Ripley's daughter is involved.

Primal: Similar to Samurai Jack in a lot of ways, which is obvious, but lacking some-but-not-all of its style. Jack used contrasts all the time, this show is a little more traditional, at least as far as I can tell. Woah, Genndy Tartakovsky made Dexter's Lab? I didn't lknow that. He was also involved with Batman TAS, Powerpuff Girls, and 2 Stupid Dogs... Well, I guess they can't all be hits.
