That is actually true of avacados and apples as well. Even though those have seeds, growing them won't give you the same plant, and what they will give you is different each time (although it probably won't be appetizing).

The only way to reliably reproduce them is through grafting.

And in the case of apples, there are a ton of cultivars that originated in North America because Johnny Appleseed felt that reproducing apple trees through grafting was an affront to God, so he made a point of planting a buttload of trees from seed instead of using grafts from any of the varieties that were common in Europe.

He also planted those trees primarily so people could make and drink cider for the sake of having something safer to drink than untreated water, rather than for food.

A pig, like an elemphant, is also considered a pachyderm (from "pachydermata", pachyderm is an obsolete term used to describe thick-skinned hooved mammals like rhinocerus and tapirs).

I think the term fell out of use when "sea pachyderm" was being used by DC comics.

A not so useless fact: During World War 2, our soldiers were told not to attack the buildings of companies that the us companies were aligned with, or were a part of, and most of our presidents were anti-semetic, and we only went against the nazis because we were forced to.

Henry Ford, dude responsible for Ford Motors, was a notorious anti-semetic, but karma kind of got to him when after the war, he was shown footage of the concentration camps, giving him a heart attack which ultimately led to his death.

As much as Germany did declare war on the US, that really didn't amount to much beyond "we're going to torpedo some of your transatlantic boats now." Germany was not in a position to mount an offensive of any sort on American soil (neither was Japan, really, but Japan at least was only fighting on one front before they attacked the US, whereas Germany was already pretty close to surrounded), and likely never would have reached such a point even if the American forces hadn't started fighting them on the western front (it's likely that the Soviets would have been able to defeat them, especially with America distracting the Japanese, though then the Soviets would probably have ended up occupying a much larger portion of Europe when the dust settled).

Really, that was true of most of Europe as well (replacing "president" with the appropriate term, of course). It's why Hitler was able to get away with so many antisemitic policies leading up to the war. The rest of Europe didn't go to war with Germany because the Nazis were mistreating Jews, they went to war with Germany because Germany kept taking over European countries. And then everyone discovered just how bad the Holocaust was and they were all like "I just wanted to be mean to the Jews, not torture and exterminate them" and immediately started decrying antisemitism in all its forms in an effort to distance themselves from that horror.
