Also I imagine after the flores thing came out yesterday, Roger Goodell is probably BEGGING Cal McNair not to hire Josh McCown. Cause just imagine how that looks.

Red Wolves would have made for a fantastic logo tbqh. The Commanders Logo is lame and uninspired. Feels like something they'd put in Madden as a choice for moving a team, and it'd still be a name fans hated and nobody would choose it.

I'm usually fine with a unique name that you don't find elsewhere in sports. Commanders certainly isn't a great choice, but we'll all get used to it in a couple years like we did with WFT.

It's really not. Red. Wolves. Two syllables too. It's like literally two words that are pretty common.

They did not want to do red wolves due to some copyright concerns.

I think people enjoyed the name ironically just because there was literally nothing like it and it always felt silly to say.

Maybe not for "the game" but they certainly won't like the fucking gigantic class action lawsuit that will come from Vegas and sports betting

But yeah, the gambling angle is what's important here IMO. The refs are bad enough in that regard. The league is tying themselves heavily to it, but the league looks more fixed than it (probably) ever has before. It's an atrocious look.

I knwo the jokes for pederson throwing a game are there but like, he did still win a superbowl, pretty recently, and it's not like he's a bad coach right? I'm sure jags fans are still devastated that the FO appears committed to baalke but you could do worse I think.

That Eagles team was so talented that they won the Super Bowl with Nick Foles. I don't think it means Pederson is a good coach, just like nobody thinks Barry Switzer was a good NFL coach because he won a Super Bowl with Jimmy Johnson's players.

Sometimes a team is so good that it doesn't really need to be "head" coached and can a win a super bowl with Trent Dilfer.
