I feel like that might be intentional based on Shamspeare being, well, a sham.

I guess it could be an intentional misuse based on the character. I'd be willing to accept that.

I liked shamspeare. I normally don't like the purpley/drama/theater/circus characters, but I do like me some shakespeare, so it balances out. Love that shamspeare dance too.

I really liked Shamspeare, but I fully admit that I'm a big fan of that archetype and I expect many other people not to be. He just reminds me of my friend's D&D bard character in so many ways.

I also like his theme song a lot

Man I really should have avoided any GAA topic until I played the whole thing
Just finished GAA1 and thought I would read some thoughts of other people up to that point in the game, but then saw I few posts with stuff like (GAA1 Character Name) and then (GAA2 spoilers) right next to it and then straight up GAA2 character names

Gregson and Soseki have the exact same damage animation, except Gregson spills his fish and chips everywhere. It was kind of surreal to see them at the exact same time when you point out the first contradiction in their testimony.

The music is mostly great; probably the most I've enjoyed an AA soundtrack in a while. Susato's theme is very VERY good.

GAA2's soundtrack in particular is so fucking good (spoilers) which makes me especially infuriated that we hear so little of Ryutaro's objection theme. but at least all of the big musical moments at the end of G2-4 and through G2-5 are fantastic

Every Susato theme is great. And yeah, the fact that we only get to hear the Ryutaro Objection theme for one tutorial case is a darn shame, right up there with only getting Courtroom Revolutionnaire 2016 for 6-4!

Prelude to the Blossoming Attorney is like my favorite objection theme in the series and I think we hear it exactly twice in the entire game and I MIGHT have hallucinated the second time, I'm not sure. I'm really lucky that I stopped to listen to it for a while the first time I heard it, because I had no idea it would never be played again lol

Ryutaro's objection plays a couple more times but I think prelude does only play once in the whole game at the very beginning.
There are a few other tracks that only play once in the game including The Legend of the Baskervilles, The Great Detective's Friendship, Reminiscing ~ At Ambition's End , and Reminiscing ~ Bonds Forged in Travel

I think maybe intersecting murders too?

This game has a ton of unique reminiscence that only play once.

Shamspeare's search for a dead criminal's treasure is very similar to a plot point in the Holmes story, "The Three Garridebs," fittingly enough.

I like how the game kind of drops hints when you're moving locations that there's something new for you somewhere. Whenever Susato says, "We haven't visited this place in some time, have we?" it means there's something there for you to do. Keeps you from feeling hopelessly lost like you would at times in AA. She also says "We haven't done everything we came here for, have we?" if there's still more to do if you try to leave.

I'm sure I have, but I don't remember.

Also, day laborer juror might be Victor Kudo's ancestor, talking about how he drinks his wife's coffee, no matter what she puts in it, because it's only proper.

Either that, or his wife is Viola's ancestor.

Whew, G2-2 complete! Good case. Definitely a wild ride. It's interesting to have a character only named Selden because it's rare for characters in the series not to have a given name and a surname. For what it's worth, Selden is the name of a character in The Hound of the Baskervilles, so it's an appropriate choice here.

He has some flashback lines, but I decided to count them since they're the first time they occur in this game and I wasn't sure if they were unique or just repeats. It's hard to tell sometimes.

G2-2 is one of the most obvious cases in the series imo
It was still great though

Also about the ending of the case
Was I supposed to recognize that belt thing? Because Naruhoudo said it looked familiar
A single spoiler tagged yes or no answer will suffice thanks

Oh hey, the beginning of G2-3 makes reference to the Holmes story, "The Five Orange Pips," which is one of my personal favorites. It's legitimately unsettling and incredibly tense.

Superb case, but perhaps the most unintentionally funny name in the series
