The main antagonist of Super Smash Bros. Brawl's "Subspace Emissary" story mode, Tabuu is the leader of the Subspace Army. He is a deity-like entity who wishes to absorb the entire universe into his Subspace world... or something like that.

His boss fight has it's good points I guess, but I remember it being pretty frustrating.

As a side note, I never did complete the Intense boss battles challenge because I was like one hit away from defeating him when I tripped just before the winged Tabuu wave attack that's basically instant death.

I just considered the trophy "effectively collected" and never bothered again. It's the only one missing in my gallery.

I played Boss Rush on hardest difficulty and made it up to him. It went good then he did some bullshit nearly unavoidable move and knocked me the fuck off

Yeah he's cool. I love how each Smash has a new boss of some kind. Giga Bowser, Crazy Hand, Tabuu, Master Core, Galleem, Dharkon.

Tabuu was the first time we had to deal with a godlike presence in the series. Great boss fight, arena, and music. Felt good beating him in Intense Boss Battles.

I'm a sucker for this kind of villain, where you never learn anything about them or their motives. Makes Tabuu feel like an actual cosmic threat instead of just some guy you're beating up on.

I like his fight too, Nintendo puts out a ton of villains that are impressive until you fight them and they're a pushover, but Tabuu is just as much of a threat in gameplay.

His fight was a blast, and I'm surprised Nintendo had the balls to put in an attack that 1 hit KOs unless you spot dodge. I guess it's not shocking to see No votes because of that. I personally think that is the reason he stands out as the most memorable Smash villain.

He's not hard enough to be a memorable fighting game final boss, and doesn't have enough personality to stand out as a villain, nor does he add to the neat lore of Smash as a child's fantasy. And as an eldrich horror, he's pretty pedestrian.

The coolest thing about him is he gets outsmarted by King Dedede. And that's hilarious.
