Smoking deaths are from long-term use and usually gets people when they're already old. Basically anyone who dies at old age that was a smoker is attributed to a smoking death. COVID is a relatively sudden death in comparison and hits different age groups.

I don't smoke, but I don't understand shrugging your shoulders at people dying from COVID-19 just because they're old. Nor do I understand blatantly ignoring the deaths from people who are young and/or aren't so old. Nor do I understand ignoring all the hospitalizations caused by COVID-19 in every age group. Nor do I understand ignoring the lasting side effects we're seeing in some people who got COVID-19 and didn't die.

Dude there's people in their 40s dying from COVID. Secondhand smoke isn't killing as many people as COVID, especially not in a younger age group. If grandpa at age 83 was a smoker, it's a death attributes to smoking. If grandpa at age 83 was relatively healthy but caught COVID and died within a week, this is not the same fucking thing.

I don't smoke, I just don't have my head up my ass to think smoking is anywhere near the realm of an infectious disease, and throwing some bullshit ass conspiracies out into the wind.
