If so, who? Where? How'd it go?

I havent met any yet. Kinda bummed. Had many layovers at LAX over the years. Surprised I havent seen someone in passing. I saw Rosario Dawson at a festival back in 2011, but she was kinda far away. Doesn't really count.

I've seen a bunch of minor celebrities at cons. Either at panels or the Walk of Fame.
As far as actually meeting, I met Steve Blum, Richard Horvitz, and Josh Keaton, and got autographs from all of them.
I got to get a picture with and an autograph from Stan Lee, but didn't really get to "meet" him. They were moving everyone along as fast as they could lol.

Depends on the definition of "met". I've been to celeb signing events, where you basically just exchange pleasantries, shake hands, and maybe take a picture or get an autograph. I've also played pick-up games of soccer with someone from the US Olympic team (but really didn't interact with him on a direct personal level). I also saw The Strokes at a club in NYC before anyone knew who they were (when a friend of mine was trying to sign them to the record label he worked for), and talked with some of the band members for a bit.

But if you're thinking more along the lines of actually having a more personal, prolonged interaction with someone, I'd probably have to think a lot harder. No one's really jumping to mind at the moment.

Yeah, I've also said hi and shook hands with some celebrities but it doesn't count to me.

The closest thing I have is the fact that my grandma chatted with Leonard Nimoy at a cocktail party waaaaaaaay back in the day.

The odds of you actually seeing a celebrity at LAX are extremely low. There are millions of people in LA and the people youd actually recognize irl probably make up less than 0.01% of the total population there.

Ive met Isaac Brock, Brittany Spears (multiple times lol), Craig T Nelson, Larry Fitzgerald, Reggie Bush and a handful of other athletes.

I got called up onstage by Jimmy Fallon when he came to my college back in 07 or 08. That was fun.

Other than that I've only met my favorite musician but idk if he counts as a celebrity. Oh, I've also met New York from Flavor of Love's mom who was on the show too.

Sort of stretching the definition of "met", but I was staying at the same hotel as Bill Murray. Crossed paths with him as I was walking out of the elevator and he was going in, and I shouted out the Cubs score to him as he was returning from his show. He responded briefly, and that was the extent of our interacting. Saw him again at breakfast. He got his food and slipped up a back stairway to avoid attracting too much attention.

He looked a lot older in person, pushing 70. All the makeup of movie production hides it.

Saw Tricia Helfer at Blizzcon several years ago, but didn't get to meet her since the lines were so damned long.

Met Nathan Chen at my local ice rink in Cerritos (the one he normally trains at in Lakewood was closed for some holiday, don't remember which but it was sometime after he won gold at the 2018 World Figure Skating Championship). At first I couldn't believe it was him at our rink (was upstairs in the gym when I noticed someone skating so well, though he didn't do any jump beyond a double), and then I saw the kids line up outside of the locker room to see him, and he's so nice taking the time to greet everyone. Got to take a selfie with him and my wife!

Have met some lesser known NHL players but I guess they probably wouldn't count celebrities. They were all really nice though.

Quite a few! I used to be a convention regular, and I do stage door at concerts & the theatre more often than not... I still go to cons, but less than I used to, not being so physically capable of handling them nowadays. But whom have I met? Let's see... Also, there's no way this list will be complete as I have a terrible memory. (And I keep adding to it!)

Sharon den Adel
Chris Barrie
Stephen Baxter
Elizabeth Bear
Marco Biazzi (ex-Lacuna Coil)
Stephen Briggs
Luciana Carro
Becky Chambers
Craig Charles
Marco Coti-Zelati
Gabrielle de Cuir
Kate Elliott
Andrea Ferro
Nathan Fillion (great hugger)
Joe Flanigan
Adam Garcia
Ron Glass
Philip Glenister (another great hugger)
Anthony Stewart Head
Torri Higginson
Michael Hogan
Alessandro Juliani
Alex Kingston
Hayley Kiyoko
Mary Robinette Kowal
Liv Kristine
Naomi Kritzer
Scott Lynch
Mary McDonnell
Seanan McGuire
Neve McIntosh
Cristiano Migliore (ex-Lacuna Coil)
Cristiano Mozzati (ex-Lacuna Coil)
Marieke Nijkamp
Edward James Olmos
Terry Pratchett (GNU <3)
Katee Sackhoff
Cristina Scabbia
Matt Smith (11th Doctor)
Catrin Stewart
Charles Stross
Alan Tudyk
Catherynne M. Valente
Suzanne Vega
Lalla Ward

Also all of Delain & Alcest, most of Within Temptation, all past & present members of Lacuna Coil since 2000, numerous less famous Whovian & Stargate cast members, Discworld fandom associates, fantasy & SF authors & editors ... see what I mean when I say I can't keep up? Also, conventions in the UK and Europe tend to be much smaller than those in the States so you get more time with people. Even the Worldcons here are smaller, generally. So many nice people though.

The celebs I've met have always been perfectly fine. I worked on the set of movies some years back and made it a point to never approach them. If they come to you, you're not the one "pestering". I always talked to them like normal, everyday people. Even if I was excited inside. I remember meeting Jack Black on set. You can't imagine how badly I wanted to break into some Tenacious D, but that probably would have gotten me kicked in the balls.

Both came to do a show at a local strip club(each on different days). I got a picture holding onto Lisa Ann(it's on my own phone) and she signed a paper ad for her appearance. I still have it. She smelled really good(but is much more shorter in real life).

Alexas stopped by a local porn shop before going to the strip club. I got her autograph and was able to touch her ass. Her ass is as soft as a cloud. I would love to bury my face into it.

Nick Cave - picked up artwork from his house. Didn't get to talk to him much.

Chris Stein - picked up one of his guitars for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Didn't get to talk to him much.

George Benson - picked up some awesome instruments from his personal collection at his house. Among them, a Wes Montgomery guitar and a Miles Davis trumpet. He played guitar while we were there. Super friendly. Also buck ass naked when we arrived at his house lol

Gabriel Byrne - in passing on Martha's Vineyard. He was walking with a woman who may have been famous but I didn't recognize her.

Steve Martin - picked up artwork at his house. He mostly spoke with my boss but he was super nice and funny.

Tedy Bruschi - in passing outside Target

Bill Belichick - in passing at a gas station

James Woods - in passing at a (different) gas station

Dan Aykroyd - at a meet and greet in a liquor store where he was hawking his vodka

Jerry Stiller - delivered heating oil to his house on Nantucket, have also seen him driving around the island when I lived there. He's very nice.

Met a bank exec, I think Richard Fuld but my memory fails me. Trying to Google some things to jog my memory

I met Bill Nye in 2012. I paid to attend a talk he was giving, and then he had book signing afterwards. I brought my university astronomy textbook (I was skipping that class for the afternoon to attend his talk), and he refused to sign it. The only book he'd sign was his own book he authored, which was a kids science based pop-up book he was selling for $50. He was a total asshole about it.

I also was on a plane with Michael Bolton from Vancouver to Los Angeles in 2011. I waved at him as I boarded the plane (he was in first class) and he turned his head and looked out his window, lol.

I think that's it.

That sounds exactly like I'd expect him to act. Supposedly Bruce Campbell can also be a petty asshole about shit, but not nearly *that* bad; he more objects to being asked to sign certain things where he feels he was entitled to royalties for likeness rights in the work itself.

Bruce was at a show (comic book convention?) few weeks ago near me. I didn't go but a friend did. He signed all sorts of things for people. They said he was very nice, other than when a few people said or asked questions that were rude.

He looked "chunky" in the pictures. Like he had put on 50 pounds or more since Burn Notice ended. He was visibly sweating in quite a few photos.

iirc, he already looked on the heavier side in Ash vs Evil Dead. Plus I think one season of Burn Notice he had lost weight and the characters were making a lot of comments about it.
