I think the ability to make any song from a series to play on any stage in that series was a mistake. It makes it so much harder to choose the right songs per stage, and it's not like I want to have the original SMB music play on New Donk City anyway...

On the flip side, if I want to replace all of the FE Music with Hidden Mountain & Forest, I should be within my rights to do so.

Also, are there stages we have to unlock? I feel like I saw Saffron City the other day but idk how we go about unlocking it.

I had the metal killer upgrade AND the metal killer spirit, as well as critical health healing, and used Little Mac

a fully charged neutral b from him would do over 50% damage to both of them, and his counters did decently too

Strong disagree. Do you really trust nintendo to sort out these songs? They always put dk rap on the worst possible dk stage

also it's all jacked up how the SMW stage is counter under the Yoshi series, but I can't put most of the SMW songs on it

and I can't put Tetris on Luigi's Mansion anymore! I miss having the miscilaneous stuff placed on the stages where it seemed most appropriate. Why would I want the Golden Sun battle music to play on Duck Hunt? Just toss it on Guar Plains!

They already have a custom playlist function where you can put whatever songs from whatever series on a list... let me assign playlists to stages. I want to listen to Castlevania music on Luigi's Mansion dang it.

Every DK stage is a dang jungle. Ice Cave Chant feels out of place on every one of those stages.

also if you're giving me unremixed DKC tracks, why are there so few? There are more tracks from DK Jungle Climber than from DKC3 because there are literally 0 DKC3 tracks. What is that about?

His up-smash can be good for controlling space at least. Haven't played with him enough to know how useful his new d-smash is, but yeah, you should only ever use his f-smash extremely siutationally because of the very slow start-up, but it is really strong if you are able to hit.

New down smash is really useful, despite its lack of range.

I just constantly am used to using F-smash because for all my other characters (Mario, Sheik, etc) it's one of their most useful moves.

I also keep forgetting to throw down C4 and tossing grenades out at all times which is the only way you succeed as Snake. Oppressing them and controlling the whole screen with explosives.

One thing I was hoping for years was that the next Smash Bros game would have a Tropical Freeze stage. Then they had to go and make bringing back all classic stages the priority in this one...

I had to force myself to learn button jumps a couple games ago. I used up on the stick to jump for the entirety of 64 and melee and didn't change until midway through brawl.

Like the characters, the stages are sorted by which Smash game they started in, so look up near the top in the rest of the N64 stages.

I can say that I have 875 music tracks and I haven't seen anything come up in the shop for a long time (I'm still checking frequently for alt Fighter Spirits) and I've completed Adventure Mode, NG+, collecting almost all non-fighter spirits, and cleared Classic with everyone by now

I saw on Reddit that there's 877, but only 876 are actually obtainable. The unremixed SMB3 ground theme is in the game's files but can't be acquired.

It's more like a standard F-smash for a non-Sword user now. It's pretty safe on shield.

IDK I just went in ready to be able to shoot halfway across the screen with it and was met with... ridiculously slow startup and zero movement. Disappointed.

His recovery is even worse than in Brawl, too.

I finally started testing out some new characters last night because I couldn't sleep. I got to Ridley, Chrom, and Roy.

Ridley... I basically just spammed everything I saw @Zigzagoon do to me except much worse and I got my face caved in. I do not understand Ridley's spacing all that well except once people get knocked up above me they are DOOMED.

Chrom... like a slightly faster version of Marth. His kit is almost exactly like Marth's but a little faster? I'm not seeing the difference and like... why they added this character at all.

ROY... holy FUCK was it satisfying to hit things with Roy's sword. I had one point where I kept ZSS up in the air for her entire stock before KO'ing her with an up-smash. I just chased her from side to side with his aerials which are SICK. Roy's N-air may be my favorite move in the game!

I may need to switch the controls to do c-stick tilts because I am way over-reliant on using the c-stick for smash attacks and it may improve my overall game.
