And when editing it, IT STILL FORCES YOU TO RENAME IT. How can a game with so much effort put into it get this basic thing so extremely wrong

I havent tried playing with amiibos yet because Im afraid its going to make me rescan my amiibo for every fight

it is way too fast considering latency. Tried it with wireless joycons for the lulz you can really notice input delay with it.

If Clouds inclusion had lots of rights issues to overcome, any DQ character will be worse. Youd need permission from SE, Bird Studio, Armor Project, and Sugi Label (unless you just didnt use any DQ music)

I would think that the DQ people would want the exposure more than the FF people, but I guess Sugiyama in particular is supposed to be an asshole so yeah that might be a problem

BUT i just unlocked the picture for using clouds side limit fully charged in a smash gamw. So all flaws in this game are forgiven

I have way more snacks and SP than I could ever need at this point anyway. There's no reason to level up any Spirits other than the ones that evolve and maybe a few good legends

I wish the Spirits were just a little more elaborate so like 95% of them wouldn't be totally useless or redundant.
Even something as simple as a stat boost if the spirit matched your character's series would give you a reason to use a lot more of them.

Find a new fighter, use that one until you unlock the next

Use only primary spirits from that series (ice climbers has no primary spirits)

Its challenging, but doable, and makes world of light more interesting than being giant and using a c stick move once

i have 1 main set i just edit, but when the naming screen comes up again i just immediately push start since it already has the old name in so it then just overwrites it

so it's still basically what you intend out of editing the ruleset but with an extra screen you don't need

No, it's a spirit board fight with Ness/Villager on Onett. I don't think there are any tricks, it's just hard.

One thing I will say that they got spot on, Lv. 9 computers don't feel completely worthless to play against in this one.

I actually feel challenged and like I'm learning fighting against the other character.

I was trying to learn Pikachu last night, seeing as there are so many Spirits who boost electric type attacks, and good lord did I get my ass kicked by a few of the computers. Little Mac especially just caved my face in.

Level 9s are way easier than 4, which is a bummer (Although I guess they were cheating in 4) but it stinks being able to triple a level 9.

Im no good at the game, which my online adventure showed me last night.

I can't remember playing against them in 4. I just remember in the past, training against the computer always felt like a waste of time. It doesn't here.

Oh another complaint:

Online stages dont use my music preferences, which sucks because a strangely high set of people use FD, and the default fd song sucks. I want to listen to fighting polygon dammit.

Just got to the boss fight. The time limit is probably going to be the worst thing about this.

Beat Adventure mode this morning, final level/battle was pretty cool. Overall I liked the mode, it had some glaring flaws, namely that they used up most of their ideas early on so it got repetitive and the whole mode being way too in love with just spawning seven hundred things at once so you die because you can't see shit, but I had fun with it outside of a few overly annoying fights. I guess the biggest problem with it though is it ends up actually being horrible for trying new characters despite that supposedly being something it wants to encourage. With the skills you get and spirits providing wacky stat boosts, characters in WoL don't actually play the way they do for real.

I stopped using Impact Run a lot because I figured it was probably teaching me bad habits. The extra mid-air jump node is probably bad for that too...

On another note, Robin has so many different boosters that work for him and I wish I knew if some were more effective than others. When there's nothing to react to, I default to Magic Attack, Weapon Attack, and Special Attack boosters, but I dunno if maybe the Electric Attack + or the Neutral B + gives a bigger boost than Special Attack or Magic Attack. Special Attack is also a legendary so that might affect team power enough to always be best, but maybe Electric booster is stronger enough than Magic to make it worth giving up boosts to the other three spells or something. Or maybe the Levin Sword is boosted by Magic too? Who knows!

Also dumb things: Because rematch forces 4 ways to continue as a 4 way and top 2 gain GSP. If two people decide to have a truce, they essentially will guarantee GSP gain. Just ran into this and it is annoying.

I played Smash 4 again a week before this game came out and EVERY MATCH was like this

Also to illustrate how strange the game handles lag. I can initiate a combo with lucario with an instant short hop forward air straight into another jump forward air...

I jump, pick up the Wolf with it. The game spikes. Instead of taking my inputs live. It does this weird thing where the first one hits, it skips all the way to where I land, and then does another jump forward air. Without me ever actually inputting anything of the sort(I'm actually trying to air dodge because i dont know exactly where i'm going to be when the game picks up).

I wish it actually handled lag in any sort of a way that made sense.

and as I type that, I draw an opponent with Japanese letters and we are in the super lag. I am pretty sure the game just says screw it and pairs anyone during peak hours now for some reason.

ROB with free laser hits is basically an auto loss.

I've never been "good" at Smash but I am truly truly bad at this one. To the point where I genuinely dont think I'm going to unlock all the characters this time, these challenger matches are just kicking my ass over and over and over.

Actually I wish I had known there was nothing to spoil aboit world of light before I played it. It made me rush through so I wouldnt get spoiled, but theres nothing there. No more character cutscenes, no secret bosses beyond a pallet swap of one, and the last boss is essentially just the games boss rush mode.

So I beat an ace spirit on the spirit board, and the capture screen comes up and I see I've already beaten it once. The first time I hit the shield in a way that left just a small sliver of barrier up in the middle of a huge open expanse.

So naturally this time I hit that tiny sliver.
