I managed it with Pikachu on my second try after failing with Snake for at least a dozen. Really the only issue is overcoming her power level, which can be done with a good number of Legend spirits. I had some trouble, especially when she uses her final smash, but when I beat her, I ended up with a sizeable life lead. You honestly just spam projectiles enough and hit her with the whip when she falls into a holy water. I didn't do it when I first found it, though -- iirc you can just leave it until later when you have a more powerful party. The Miis are only available in standard Smash mode as long as you have one that is created. They don't have a Classic Mode, and in Adventure Mode they have to be unlocked like any other fighter.
