Fucking finally

I think I wasted about 15 rematches (luckily I didn't fuck up the stupid shield game)

...and then I beat my next legend (Wario-Man) on my first try

Well I grinded out all the online challenges, they were pretty easily done over 2 days.

Quickplay was miserable and I hated every second what a dreadfully painful slog.

The arena, however, was chill af with voice chat. I foind a few guys with voice chat and we just rotated one on ones while we shot the shit. Its a super flawed mode since if you want to change characters or switch stages youre sent to the back of the queue and forced to skip spectating, but damn did I enjoy it. I could have easily racked up 200 of these battles.

the spirit board is such a waste of time. The spirits can just be acquired through WoL anyway, with multiple retries and without the terrible shooting system at the end

A bunch of them are spirit board exclusive (or maybe they can be summoned or purchased or something, but Ive totally finished WoL and have plenty of spirits to go)

Yea I def wouldn't call it a waste of time, you do know there are 1,297 available Spirits and by the end of World of Light I had roughly 580 or so. No way in hell you can get ALL the Spirits in World of Light.

You could ask the same thing about any game with a collection aspect. Because it's there to do and you can't consider it 100% complete without it. Maybe it doesn't matter to you, but obviously it will to some people.

The computer is insanely overtuned in this game. It's not you.

But people are saying lvl 9's are more manageable than Smash 4.

I swear this game is hiding some sort of difficulty from us.

Went into the fight with The Boss expecting it to be pretty tough, ended up beating her on the second or third try by just spamming up-smash with Link.

I can't even reliably beat Level 6 CPUs.

I'm also still losing to new challengers more often than not even post-update.

I just want to know what spirits are summon-only. I assumed at first they all would be, because that felt like the whole point. So I ended up summoning Ashley before I found her in WoL, and I haven't summoned anyone else since. I worked hard for that Star Rod, and I've failed numerous times again trying to get it back on the spirit board. :(

You have to unlock them to use them in World of Light but for Versus matches you just need to make them in the Games & More tab, no unlock necessary

Snake will pretty naturally give you a 9.9 since it inflates your score

Just made Liquid Snake my bitch somehow. That's three legendaries I've beaten the spirit board now. Only a matter of months until I have them all!

Also oh damn, Mega Diancie spirit. Legendary, 3 slots, AND a built in Franklin Badge!

Yeah, Victini is one of my go-tos if I have a spare slot or don't need to counter anything. More powerful Smash attacks is always good.
