The issue is going to be how liberal are democrats going to want to go? I think the two elections this year (governor/senate) probably is really good evidence they need a moderate to run as Arizona is definitely purple at best right now and definitely not blue. You can also argue Sinema is a complete aberration because of how perfect of a candidate she was for the state, but I think demographic changes (and votes in the last senate election and presidential election) indicate that it might not just be due to Sinema.

So with Sinema winning AZ, the Senate is currently projected 53/47, with FL still pending a recount and MS going to a runoff, right?

Imagine if the recount flips Florida to Nelson (i.e his camp is right about the machines not properly reading those ballots) and Espy wins the runnoff in MS. And the Senate ends up exactly where it was pre-election despite all the crowing about it by idiots on the day after.

One hell of a long shot though.

Something semi-interesting is that the seat McSally left to run was on the short list targeted by Democrats for a potential pickup, and the seat Sinema left to run was on the short list targeted by Republicans for a potential pickup.

Democrats held onto Sinema's seat and flipped McSally's. The won the house popular vote in the state as well.

I never for a moment thought Kirkpatrick, who I've met, would lose the race. McSally's win two years ago was a shocker and it was by the narrowest of margins.

The one line of defense Reddit admins have used is that, unlike other hate subreddits theyve shut down, is that T_D doesnt advocate harassing other subreddits. Publicly at least, they keep their insanity to themselves. Thats the line Reddit drew for them.

Harass people IRL, or other social media all you want, just dont target other subreddits and you live.

Which of course is BS. They of course do those things, just not out in the open, flying the T_D flag

I lurk there a lot and I never really saw anything that I would consider ban worthy.

This, however, is totally different. There are a ton of posts with a lot of upvotes that are borderline advocating violence and sedition. Not just over Florida, but Arizona, Montana, Michigan, West Virginia...they don't believe any election results and want Trump to do something about it. I've seen maybe 100 posts in the past hour talking about civil war.

Hopefully with something like this coming to light, we can do something about it that's not just "Republicans do something stupid (e.g gerrymandering) -> file a lawsuit -> lawsuit gets stalled and stuck in the courts by the GOP's lawyers until it's too late to affect the current election -> Republicans loop right back around to step 1 in preparation for the next election"

All the work people do warning people not to fall for phishing scams at election time since you cant vote online, and here they are actually doing it.

Seriously, if you got an email saying This is the Bay County election board, please email us your votes along with personal information to verify yourself youd assume it was junk

For me, Chris, I dont blame him for hating the murderer and thinking it's disgusting that he would be allowed to vote. Thats perfectly fair for a grieving father to feel. What bothers me is the blaming of Democrats despite the party having zero connection to the Republican-registered murderer.
