I'm a huge Pokemon fan and even I don't think we should be getting that many Pokemon tbh, 1 new one (Incineroar out of the rumored plz) would be perfectly fine and then do more characters from other series'

I agree 100%, i'm just hoping Sakurai's vision of the "Ultimate" Smash doesn't include "rep from each Pokemon gen," cuz I dont think anyone ever asked for that but Sakurai seems kind of neurotic so if he got the idea in his head we could actually be seeing Gothitelle

To be fair, it doesn't say all DLC, just anything cut for time, which isn't completely unheard of. Tekken Tag Tournament 2 did it.

Makes me think it would mean more recently released characters like from ARMS or Xenoblade 2, that probably could've been in if there was enough time.

Smash 64: Pikachu, Jigglypuff
Melee: Mewtwo, Pichu
Brawl: Lucario, Pokemon Trainer
Smash 4: Greninja, Charizard (who was introduced as if it was a new character with a pun and everything)
Every game has introduced two new pokemon. You can argue that Smash 4 doesn't count, but the point is that there's plenty of precedence to add multiples.

I'm torn because Skull Kid + Bandana Dee would make me happy on so many different levels.

But Gardevoir + Gothitelle just makes me want to kill myself and would honestly make me not want to call myself a pokemon fan anymore. Literally both of them are in my bottom 10 pokemon.

Pokemon is something I love a ton and seeing it represented by 2 things I absolutely hate is depressing on many levels.

Also if they were going to add a Pokemon fighter that we didn't expect, it also hurts a ton that it's not literally anything else.

Like give us Hawlucha or something cool like that. I'm sure as hell he's more popular than Gothitelle and would also surprise a ton of people at the same time.

I suppose that's a valid concern. You are correct in that it's easy to think of more interesting new pokemon, but Gothitelle would be in specifically because it'd be easy to clone from Gardevoir (assuming the leak is true).

Honestly, I'd rather have Raichu and finally complete that playground rumor from back in the day.

Gardevoir is cool. I beat Pokemon Pearl with a pretty underleveled party thanks to her. I say if you're gonna go humanlike just go all the way with it. A half measure just makes the Pokemon look really stupid.

With as obnoxious as the awful fandom was who didn't know of Undertale when it was first released. The clickbait channel that started "Ness is Sans" is a big contributor as well.
