Apocalypsis Noctis - Your Reality is great in context but fairly worthless otherwise. AN is a lot of fun.

Drifting Souls - This match sucks. Everyone who nominated DS instead of good XB2 songs is lame. Battle with Destiny is insanely repetitive.

A Battle with Destiny - Pretty repetitive but holy hell why Drifting Souls?

I feel bad about voting in the first match for various reasons, so I will abstain. Mainly that I am heavily biased against DDLC for some quite possibly unjustified reason (considering I haven't played it), and also because Your Reality seems like a song where you need the context. In a vacuum I don't like the song though (the tone of the singer's voice bugs me), and my suspicions as to what the context is doesn't help matters much. Apocalypsis Noctis on the other hand is a very cool epic song, but oh well. I like it, but not to such an extent that I'm really upset about not voting for it.

Man I don't really feel anything from this second match. Both songs are solid songs I guess but are also just not impressive at all. Battle with Destiny has a reasonably decent groove, but the song never mixes it up and the groove is also not that strong on it's own. Drifting Souls is another case where I really like the style but think this particular song is a weak example of that style. Trying to figure out what exactly the problem is but I actually don't know. The song just doesn't work as far as I'm concerned.

I adore Drifting Souls. The reason Drifting Souls works and Your Reality doesn't for me is largely down to the vocals which are really powerful. It elevates what could have just been another JRPG ballad. Battle with Destiny is fine chiptune stuff.

Nice day all around!

-First match is great. Apocalypsis Noctis isn't your generic apocalyptic-sounding song (as it may seem at first), but it's actually rather well-exectued. Your Reality is also a beautiful piece (still can't believe this comes from a freakin' horror game, though).
-Second match is weaker and more straightforward. A Battle with Destiny sounds catchy because it's repetitive (which is actually good in this case, I guess). Drifting Souls is not exactly my style; ballads generally just don't do it for me.
-Third match: Cosmic Hero continues to reign supreme.

Your Reality's the more memorable of the first pair imo, with its lyrics and those small dissonant bits. But it's also pretty bland somehow. Seems it's more emotional in context, judging by those Youtube comments.
