Damn, RAW got back over 3 million viewers. 3.25, to be exact. First time since after Survivor Series.

1st and 2nd hours drew 3.57 and 3.56, meaning everyone was watching to see who would get those hands.

It was just my personal Mt. Rushmore, my best friend and I had like a four hour long talk about it and we agreed to have a Tier 1 and Tier 2, I'll try to remember what mine were.

Tier 1: Taker, Austin, Michaels, Jericho

Tier 2: Hart, Flair, Cena, CM Punk

A lot of it's personal bias but we rated things like, ability in the ring, ability on the mic, career accomplishments (title wins, RR, KoTR), Longevity with the company, and of course impact on pro wrestling as a whole.

So I heard speculation that Braun is going to get fed to Triple H at Mania. I feel like they wouldn't make Braun lose to Trips, but there's always the H Factor. The most worrying part is that Steph and Braun face offs. I don't think even Braun could make Stephanie watchable.

I really don't get how main roster WWE seems not to understand that stuff like this is what gets people invested in wrestlers, not over-the-top nicknames and nonsensical catchphrases.

By the by, if Shane Thorne doesn't become a huge star, it'll be the biggest waste of potential in WWE in a long long time. That dude's had the "it" factor for years already and he's only getting better.

I ain't an expert, but I think Santo and Rikidozan fill a similar role to Hogan for Mexico and Japan, respectively. And Gotch I think was one of the main reasons wrestling went from semi-legit carny stuff to being its own thing?

Austin probably goes on the third tier Rushmore. Hes very notable but not truly significant. He didnt mark any sea change that persisted past his time.

People remember Daniel Bryan being an active wrestler fondly and Occupy Raw is the one "moment" from that time that you could put on a list like that. Few would vote for it as one of the greatest segments ever on Raw but they sure would vote for it as a general nod to liking that time when Bryan was the top face for a while

I would prefer the ACTUAL Occupy Raw when Cena and Orton were about to unify the belts with all ex-champs in the ring, and the crowd just kept chanting for Bryan to the point the segment couldnt continue without acknowledging it.

- It was time for a champion who could connect with the 1.3 billion people of India. True, John Cena could speak a little Punjabi, but he wasnt wrestling full-time anymore, so it was up to Jinder to drive up WWE Network subscriptions in India. And the WWE Network was the only place those 1.3 billion Indians could watch Mahal defend his title against Randy Orton at Money in the Bank except for on free TV, where all of WWEs so-called pay-per-views also aired in India.

- At MITB, Jinder defeated Randy Orton again, surviving an RKO thanks to the blatant interference of the Singh Brothers, whom Randy Orton tossed around like rag dolls for four minutes. This ungodly delay allowed Jinder to recover and hit the Khallas to beat Orton in his hometown in front of his dad on Fathers Day. Thats how hard WWE was pushing for Jinder to be its next international star, domestic audience be damned.

- By this point, Jinder had been champion for four and a half months and looked to be so until at least the end of the year. This, despite Mahal never having established any real character and garnering only apathy on the mic as well as in the ring. In his promos, all we learned was that Jinder spoke Punjabi, liked India, and didnt much care for American crowds. Fans may have initially balked at Bradshaw getting a main event push in 2004, but after one promo, they could at least tell you what the JBL character was.

- Months after thirteen-time world champion Randy Orton jobbed on three consecutive pay-per-views to initially put over Mahal, Triple H couldnt be bothered to let the hometown kid get a single non-televised win over him. Jeez, even Hulk Hogan would (and did) put over Jacques Rougeau in Montreal if he paid him enough. But hey, The Game had to stay looking strong for all those future India tours hed work in the coming decades.
