Braun destroying everything and Rollins bringing back the curbstomp makes me sad that I didn't watch RAW this week.

Of course, I also haven't watched the previous 4 months of RAW, but still.

So on a night where Braun sounded like an absolute delight, all I can think is "holy shit they brought back the Curb Stomp."

So this has probably been mentioned, but here is the problem I now have with NJPW.

I love almost everything I have watched, these 35-50 minute classics.

I now cannot suspend my disbelief enough to handle seeing these guys lose in under 10-20 minutes. It would feel completely unreal and fake to me to watch Kenny/Naito/Tanahashi get beat in anything reasonable.

That's a fair point, but they do generally find ways to work around that issue.

Like, for example, Okada and Omega went to a 60-minute draw at Dominion last year, but then Omega beat him in just over 20 minutes in the G1 because he blitzed the hell out of him and Okada was so beat up in storyline. It still made sense.

Its beause he HAD to. G1 matches have a 30 minute time limit, as opposed to 60 for IWGP Title matches. Kenny knew what he had to do, what strategy he had to try, to avoid the draw.

And yeah, G1 psychology is cumulative over the whole tournament.

What I like about Braun is that you can tell he's just a huge goof that loves acting the monster.

He's naturally done what they tried to force Roman into being.

Wyatt Braun was horrible, but now he's legitimately top three in the company.

Braun got a lot more entertaining when they changed from talking about how he's some amazing monster while he continues to be a generic big guy that looks exactly as strong as every other generic big guy to talking about how he's some amazing monster while he acts like an actual amazing monster

If Roman does get popped for steroids as that suggests, Braun might finally get his well deserved run at the top. I don't see how they can have anybody but Braun take down Brock at this point.
