Well it's hard not to be disappointed, but I guess you just have to say too good to Cloud.

It was great seeing everything fall into place for a Laguna run, but it'll be hard to replicate that again. Thanks to everybody who helped get him so far, mostly Leon, Xuxon, VI, mnk, lhg, Drak, Bane.

Hey, no problem! Laguna is top 5 for me, if not just underneath, so Im glad I was able to help him out, and second place is certainly no slouch! (I feel like plenty of users would have loved to get a character they push into the finals)

I don't have a main that persists from contest to contest. Like if you were to put them all together Yuffie is probably the main most often, but this year she was clearly one of my later priorities. And the year Seymour did well I did transition to Seymour as #1 before Yuffie was out IIRC. Sometimes it's Rikku or Tidus or Agnes Oblige or Sephiroth-- really just depends where the momentum is. And if X-Death is in the field it's often him until I inevitably miss a round.

Does X-Death have no other backers that can help him survive?

X-Death's only regular savers I can recall are like me and KnightOfNee and he's probably even worse than I am at making every round

I mean he gets a healthy dose of scraps from everyone but every round is a gamble pretty much-- no easy pass to round 50 or 70 or whatever for him.
