supposedly the Yankees are close to a deal to get Robertson, Kahnle and Frazier from the White Sox and Rutherford will be included in the deal. if so that's kinda bittersweet. i'd like to have Robertson back but Rutherford is my favorite prospect right now, even counting Frazier as a prospect still. that's too much for not getting a starter or everyday player beyond this year.

The White Sox and Yankees have agreed to a blockbuster deal that’ll send Todd Frazier, David Robertson and Tommy Kahnle to New York in exchange for outfield prospect Blake Rutherford, left-handed pitching prospect Ian Clarkin, outfield prospect Tito Polo and veteran right-hander Tyler Clippard. The White Sox have formally announced the deal.

Rutherford is a big deal and Frazier overrated but Robertson really good imo

In more depressing news, the rumor mill appears to be that there is no world where Yu Darvish is a Ranger on Tuesday. Dodgers/Yankees/Astros are the primary interested teams.

Orioles acquire Hellickson for Kim and other pieces they badly didn't need to give up.

Angelos is really gunning for another dark age before he passes.

EDIT: Kind of an overreaction since I thought at first that this was a move to compete. It's just to get another starter to spread around work load until the end. Unfortunately a lot of time has passed because Dan Duquette and Angelos have waited to pull any triggers for trades. I was really hoping early on that Machado and Brach would be traded away, but buyers are limited.

I'm still bracing myself for Kim and Cleavinger to turn things around.
