To his credit though, Elgin is legitimately probably about as strong as Ryback.

It takes some badass strength to pull off some of the stuff he does. His last match he had a guy on the apron in the corner, and he stood on the middle rope in the ring and did a deadlift superplex and I leapt out of my chair.

He big, he strong, but he ain't got no cuts.

I would accept this only on the condition that his opponent is Evan Bourne as Sin Cara, which also goes uncommented-upon.

I think the reason Evan Bourne got to so orange before his latest suspension was just to try and prevent this.

JR blogs about things that annoy him:

The inane use of the term "PUSH" from fans who likely don't know what it truly means and feel that "PUSH" is the magic word that cures all ills with why one of their favorites isn't in the spotlight. The overall talent base in the business in general is so thin that I ASSURE you that if athletes distinguish themselves regularly enough that they will be noticed and utilized.

Poor Ryder. :-(

Its just that he was utilized to put Cena and Eve over and to help the Cena/Kane feud.

See the WWE would really have to make a point of that though. Like give him a pocket hercules gimmick where everyone is shocked at how strong he is.

point 1:
Ryder is restricted enough in the ring that even guys who arent stellar in terms of workrate and psychology like The Miz have more base utlity. He was pushed until that became a liability. He needs seasoning and why he isnt on NXT EVERY WEEK getting it is beyond me. Though i guess the superstars treatment he and Riley are getting is for this.

point 2: I really feel like if he LOOKED jacked and was doing these things he could make an interesting midcarder. I mean imagine a feud with he and big show or mark henry built around whether Elgin can actually lift him. Done right, sure its Hogan/Andre all over again, but it could MAKE Elgin. Especially in the hands of like a Vickie or Heyman.

Nash's "Fingerpoke of Doom" is historically the symbol of WCW's fall. He could have paired that with the "Facebook Poke of Doom" to kickstart WWE's downfall. <_<

Speaking of the "Fingerpoke of Doom", what exactly was the point of that segment anyways? Was it pretty much just Nash and Hogan trolling the fans?

It was at the height of the nWo fracture storyline and was built as the first big confrontation between the two sides. Then, SWERVE the two groups had made up and Nash was okay with giving the title back to Hogan for the good of the stable.

Obviously Hogan had a clause in his contract that whenever he won the Title he got a pay raise, and it's common knowledge that Nash had a clause in his contract where whenever someone was paid more than him he got matched, so Nash's motivation to job to Hogan was the same as always, more money to do less work.

Elgin isn't a HHH guy, but he definitely is one of the biggest prospects roh has and tna would pick him up if they don't. Wwe is very familiar with roh guys by now, and I do think that they are just waiting for roh to get him super hot before picking him up. Same with tna really, it's true that he doesn't have the insane size, but I think they can deal with that, especially as their future is punk, dragon, Ziggler, cody (not short, but skinny), steamboat, and Tyler. Or their eventual push of kidd. Or Christian. Sin cara. There's a lot of not 6'6 in wwe right now and I think Elgin can easily carve his own niche. I also think he has the right guys to help him in there.

The rest are pretty much "ROH guys" who pretty much have a ceiling in the X-Division. If Eddie worked really hard on his charisma I could see him as a borderline IC/US guy.

I dunno, I think if AmDrag developed into a main event level guy on the mic seemingly overnight, any of them can. None of them have his level of talent in the ring, but I wouldn't be surprised to see guys like Eddie, Roddy, or Tyler become proficient on the mic. And with guys like Danielson, Punk, Cody, Ziggler, Miz etc. suddenly becoming main event players, I think the sky is the limit for any of them.

It's a sad day. Doink is now the Jobber Champion, which pretty much means the title's retired. Unless the guy dressed as Doink (since it clearly wasn't Matt Bourne) comes back on other terms and beats someone.
