Ryder was noticed and utilized.

Its just that he was utilized to put Cena and Eve over and to help the Cena/Kane feud.

To his credit though, Elgin is legitimately probably about as strong as Ryback.

It takes some badass strength to pull off some of the stuff he does. His last match he had a guy on the apron in the corner, and he stood on the middle rope in the ring and did a deadlift superplex and I leapt out of my chair.

He big, he strong, but he ain't got no cuts.

See the WWE would really have to make a point of that though. Like give him a pocket hercules gimmick where everyone is shocked at how strong he is.

point 1:
Ryder is restricted enough in the ring that even guys who arent stellar in terms of workrate and psychology like The Miz have more base utlity. He was pushed until that became a liability. He needs seasoning and why he isnt on NXT EVERY WEEK getting it is beyond me. Though i guess the superstars treatment he and Riley are getting is for this.

point 2: I really feel like if he LOOKED jacked and was doing these things he could make an interesting midcarder. I mean imagine a feud with he and big show or mark henry built around whether Elgin can actually lift him. Done right, sure its Hogan/Andre all over again, but it could MAKE Elgin. Especially in the hands of like a Vickie or Heyman.
