She's gotten the shaft with all these other ADs that can push out a ton of damage early on. Also, forgot how much an AD Sion can stomp if he's allowed to farm. Didn't even win my lane (was pretty much a tie), but I proceeded to go 9-1-10 in a ranked game while my teammates did everything in their power to throw the game. But yeah. I love Ezreal, definitely my favorite champion and I'll keep playing him, but he kind of blows. Compared to pretty much any other AD champ, he takes more effort for less reward in nearly every situation.

Ezreal is mostly just strong against bad players. The good ones know to just stand behind the minions and harass. And that's really a big problem - Ez is a ranged carry that gets outharrassed by every other good ranged carry. If you're building AD, he has nothing that goes over minions except for his autoattack, which doesn't have a very long range. If you're playing AP, you'll have mana problems trying to hit with W (and AP Ez isn't so great anyway).

This only applies to DotA, where you can carry your team by ruthlessly punishing the mistakes the enemy makes. LoL is too forgiving for a strategy like that to work. People who say that make some sort of a gambler's fallacy. They don't acknowledge that you can roll a bad team every single time in solo queue. 'elo hell' does exist, even if it's effect is vastly overrated. It's not even a 50-50. The chances of getting a bad player are much better than getting a good one. Most of the good players/top players just happen to duo with another really good person and they lead the team. Not to forget the whole thing where matchmaking intentionally gives you bad matchups if you're on a winning stream/good matchups if you're on a losing streak. Or so they say. -- maybe, lol ... Yeah like I said I probably know more about elo hell than most in this topic, given how I started last season with a few leaves during champ select (didn't know it mattered), experimenting with Kennen, and playing with bad FPS, putting myself down to ~900 ELO with a quickness despite having been more like a 1200 ELO player at the time. You can carry teams in the game you just need to pick a champ who's good at burst and good at killing buildings. Then you just burst down the threats while your team distracts, and when you win the teamfight by yourself you go push buildings by yourself since you can't count on your team to do it.
I mean, yeah, it's hard to win every time doing this, but the only thing you have to do to get out of ELO hell is win more often than not and if you can carry even like 1/3 of your bad teams the other team getting worse teams sometimes too should get you ahead in the end. -- No problem!
