Man, god damn it. I'm on a small losing streak and finally get into a game where we're all winning our lanes; dominating bot easily, then for between 5-10 minutes, lag takes god damn over. EVERYONE lags and it takes 5-20 seconds for the server to recognize our actions. And somehow the enemy team ends up taking down 2 of our towers, and their mid manages to stay connected and rack up CS so by the time it goes away, we're all level 7/8 with our mid perma-DC'd, and they're all 10-12. -_- Ugh.

At least, the fact that she makes constant tournament appearances and isn't the deciding factor of the game 90% of the time gives that impression. The only things that god significant buffs before she became pick or ban were her ultimate and auto attacks. Her auto attacks made last hitting a nightmare, and her ultimate changes just made it usable instead of being Death Lotus tier. Morgana's biggest strength comes from 3 things
1.Her ability to sustain in lane without slowing down her build is unmatched. I sometimes go Will of the Ancients just for giggles. There's a video of a Morgana going the whole game with just one Doran's Ring. It's silly. But the point is, she can stack damage or tankiness while other APs have to rush spell vamp. Huge advantage. 2.Her ability to just crush other AP and dominate mid. Outside of Gragas and Ryze, it's pretty hard to pop Morgana's spell shield without taking more damage than you give out. If you CAN out damage her she just presses W and farms despite you. Nothing you can really do. But it's not just about the one on one matchup. It's about her pushing mid with extreme safety because ganking her with spell shield up is almost impossible. So she over pushes mid and can gank other lanes, take dragon, or just keep the jungler busy. 3.Lastly, Spell Shield is just silly. I max it out 2nd because in a game based around CC, Morgana can cancel all of it. A 600 magic damage eating, CC ignoring spell shield on Nasus or Singed or Riven is just very scary. Lowering the damage on the ult really doesn't do anything. At all. It still forces enemies to stay in place and get stunned or split up and get out of position. it's the fact that his ultimate is literally automatic damage that stuns that makes him nuts imo. it's like having a nuke that you just 'turn on' and it does all the damage for you, and keeps the enemies inside of it. the only skill required is knowing when to use it, but that's still an incredibly low bar compared to every other champ in the game

It's actually a .99 AP ratio assuming 3 hits on a champ. Also it can't hit the entire enemy team for that amount at max level in under one second as it procs on one champ every .33 seconds, so counting proc on initial activation it hits 4 champs in one second, and those 4 only one time, not all 3 times. Or possibly less targets hit more times.
But that combined with Rush and Surge gives your 4 stunned targets that already took a lot of damage and are now stuck in the ult taking more damage. Ergo, you're better just putting that cash towards wards directly because the only way it pays for itself is if you eventually sell it (and it takes ~13 minutes to break even at that rate even). Also interesting, most if not all long range Ults have little icons now, and show sight of exactly who you hit/just missed when it happens. Noticed it with Zigg's ult, (Fun as hell, incidentally, not that anyone'surprised.) and it works with Ashe's arrow too. Don't own Ez so can't be sure about him.
