Madoka's pretty good. Rebellion is also pretty fun, but agreed it isn't as good as the main series. I think my opinion of it could be improved with a continuation of the story (which I keep hearing about but never see anything substantial) to build on it but without it =/

F/Z so good. Kiritsugu is great. Gil v Rider is my favorite fight in the show even though it's not really a fight - but that's kinda the point. Really that whole episode is great, Waver and Gil's conversation post-fight also great.

I'd give the S;G VN the edge but I'm a sucker for MORE DETAIL and MORE CHARACTER SCENES and alternate endings and all that, but the anime is an amazing adaption and Top 5 for me.

The one thing from the VN I wish the anime found a way to include - but it probably would have been a bad idea and would have messed up pacing - was the Future Nae Time Leaping stuff.

S2 is (mostly) better at this, due to having more serious developments for the MCs in the standalone episodes, most notably the one about young Motoko. I preferred the main story for S1 over S2s though. The Laughing Man was awesome, and S2s main plot wasnt as interesting, though it did lead to a few excellent moments for our main characters.

Completely agreed. S1's main story is definitely better than S2's, but S2 has the stronger standalone episodes. Poker Face in particular is one of my favorite standalone episodes. And as far as the main story goes, The Laughing Man is just far above anything S2 provides on that front.

Re-iterating the no, but just because it's kind of tangential and I forgot to mention it in my earlier post, but the game takes some effort to sell Shinjiro as a long term party member. His skill list extends into giving him skills into his 70s, or wherever it ends for the other characters.

I think they took it with them? Totally not sure because lmao at remembering random NPC chatter from around 6+ years or whenever my last playthrough was, but I think someone mentions Ikutsuki being found at the school's "observatory" (which seems only to come up as code for "wherever weird tartarus stuff happens") and if Mitsuru's dad was left behind presumably he'd be near the same spot and I don't recall them saying two people were found. But who knows.

Like KP said, the P3 team is largely winging it, and the one lead they were basically following was just revealed to be a doctored video made to have them do the opposite of what they wanted.

Reached Judgement Sword boss, had some trouble, stopped for now. Advice on beating them seems to be making nihil weapons for Yukari and Aigis, but I don't have nihil bows or guns, so meh.

Hrm. How did you beat Hell Knight (Tartarus boss a short while ago, probably your trip before the most recent Full Moon)? Their skillsets re: Lightning seems very similar so in theory I'd expect the fights to be a bit similar.

Nihil Forging should not be necessary (though it would help because eliminating weaknesses, especially on your party is always great in all cases.) The guide I've mostly been using as a reference for looking up movesets and such suggests a Yukari/Akihiro/Junpei team all on support. Says Junpei will reset your defense by boosting it when they lower it, and Akihiro will lower their attack, while Yukari heals. They have the party members having the all-target version of those spells though, not sure if yours do yet.

From there, you're probably looking for a persona with resistance (ideally nulls, but dunno if you have it) to lightning, and also ideally Masukukaja to boost party evasion. The damage types they don't resist are Ice and Wind so you also probably would like one of those, but if all this becomes too much of a pain to get in one place, you could just normal attack or use Fire though it'll be slower going.

If Yukari's weakness proves to be too much of a hinderance you could sub her out for someone I suppose. Mitsuru or Koro or whoever.

(I know for regular season, it's Fox has games in which the NFC is the road team, CBS has AFC as road team. NBC/ESPN get the leftovers in that order, I think.) Might be different for the playoffs though, I dunno, but I doubt it.

Glad it helped. While Tartarus still has some tough bosses, I wasn't joking when I said Sleeping Table was a contender for the hardest in the game. Hopefully things go smoother for you from here out.

How far are you in HxH, xp?

Chimera Ant Arc. More specifically, Netero v The King looks like it's finally going to begin. Well, the most recent episode I saw was the one after where it switched back to Ikalgo befriending Welkin. Really everything since the Hunters invaded the Palace has been incredible. High point so far was definitely Gon losing his goddamn mind when he and Killua found Pitou healing Komugi. Netero looks like he's gonna bring the hype though.

Also, I just had this weird af dream about Trails. Or more specifically, Trails mashed up with this absurd crossover that runs in my head that basically accumulates everything I read/see. Woke up and I must have been crying because what little I can remember of it was twisted as all hell. It was like Trails meets Yoko Taro meets Hideki Anno.

need trails localization news so my mind doesn't feel compelled to dream up crazy fanfics like this

I suppose, alternatively, you could take Junpei and Koromaru precisely because they'll have a resistance to fire, but their damage output will be crap because they'll also be firing into Sleeping Table's strengths. I feel like at your current level though you can't win that kind of war of attrition.

I sure don't have mediarama. I'm currently level 40, and my allies range from 32-38. Any suggested personas to train for mediarama/other stuff? I've only tried it once, and I got it down to 80%~ before dying.

I can... try. Bizarrely (and this has been a problem I've had to work around the other times too) there's no complete list of FES's compendium with skills/level on GameFAQs. There's one for the original P3 but IIRC it is not always going to match up with FES. (Some of this is because FES added a new Arcana and some Persona got shuffled around) I... think... it's mostly compatible though. Hopefully it is.

Before getting into your options there, let's take a look at Sleeping Table's Arsenal: Megidola (Again, there's no tricks here you just eat it. You can debuff Sleeping Table with Tarunda/buff yourself with Rakukaja but that is it), Maragidyne (Tier 3 Fire Spell that hits all), Hamaon (Single Target Light Insta-kill), Evil Smile (Chance of Fear to all), and Ghastly Wail (Insta-kill on any feared character).

He blocks Strike (Akihiko's normal attack, is strong against the other physical types, and also strong to Fire.) Junpei's out right off the bat because that's an awful set for him. Koro too. Probably want to roll with Yukari, Ahikiro, and Aigis.

Back to the Persona.

Leanan Sidhe is a Level 33 Empress Persona that will learn Mediarama at 38. This is... probably not ideal though because you'll have no S-Link Bonus on fusion so you'd have to level it the hard way.

Saki Mitama, if he's the same as the P3 guide, is a tempting choice. Level 39 Lovers Persona. Learns Mediarama at 42. I think a Lovers Rank of about 6 gets you there. Even if you're not that far in Yukari's link (and you probably aren't) it'll help a bit. It also has a resistance to fire and comes with Zionga which you can use for offense.

You can use Magic Mirror as a defense to his non-Megidola spells. Also, depending on your item situation you can try to forgo Mediarama if you have a ton of Bead Chains and don't mind using a ton on this fight. They're full HP recovery for the whole team.

Argh, this would be a lot easier for me to strategize around with a Persona Compendium I knew I could trust. FWIW, the FES FAQ is considerably overlevelled to you. They recommend leveling to 50 for this fight (they essentially fuse a Persona that can block all of Sleeping Table's **** and just use items to heal through Megidola) they have an "alt" fusion of a Level 44 Persona (Okuninushi) but from memory I think that's a physical type Persona and may not be able to inherit Mediarama so you'd have to again go the item route. (And also probably get some other skills over to it to make it viable)

I will say that as an absolute last resort, levelling is an option here. Megidola may have no tricks, but the level difference between you and your enemy is a major component of the damage formula. It has Sleeping Table listed at Level 50. If true, that's the main reason it's grinding you to dust. A +10 advantage is huge in the damage formula. Just closing the gap would help your survivability considerably regardless of any other preparation.

Got to the boss Sleeping Table

Sleeping Table is arguably the hardest boss in the game lol. Way back at the start of the topic and you mentioned you were having trouble with a boss and someone asked "is it the table boss" this is what they meant.

IIRC, Sleeping Table is the one boss I consider a level/skill check. Without going to the in-depth level I have previously (I totally can if you continue to have trouble, I'm just doing this much off the top of my head is all and not cross-checking his move list or what persona has what abilities, etc.) I think this is just a straight test of your capacity to heal. I think I considered it "Don't have Mediarama? Well then you lose" because without it you simply can't keep your healing at pace with his damage.

Megidola simply has no tricks to it. There's no "fuse this Persona for a resistance" or "spam Magic Mirrors to protect yourself" you need to be able to have enough healing to survive him/enough DPS to burn him down. They mostly go hand-in-hand, but I focus on being able to heal.

Lately I've rolled with Yukari/Akihiko/Koromaru. But in terms of just a stronger party you probably want to sub Mitsuru or Aigis in for Koromaru, yeah. Aigis with Yukari doubles you up on Elec weakness (though on the flip side it also means there's one less element that can ruin your day) though if you take over healing because of Yukari's unreliability in clutch situations you could probably drop her instead (but you shouldn't drop the best character tbqh >_>)

I too started on a new Pokemon Journey a few days ago myself after not having played since Gen 3 - and not remembering anything since Gen 2! Got/started Ultra Sun. It's been pretty fun so far. I think I'm about to leave the starter island (finally) and there are some basic QoL stuff from other RPGs (and even other Pokemon but I imagine those at least will come eventually) that I'm missing. I also entered some Groundhog's Day situation where the day/night cycle seems to be working but no one recognizes the passage of time and anything that is limited to once-a-day has told me to come back tomorrow for 2 days now. i have also made it my head canon that the overly cheerful rival is concealing the mind of a sociopath.

As for Breath of the Wild, I played it (on WiiU lol) back at release. Really great game. Probably best Zelda but Majora's Mask still too good so I can waver on that. Didn't play the DLC though. Glad you're enjoying it. Depending on what you've yet to do/explore some of the best parts IMO may be coming. Zora Story was the best of the 4 main dungeon stories with Gerudo coming second. Unfortunately Rito the worst and that's what you have left but ah well.

As for other games, idk it's been forever since you've been here so I don't even know what I've played that has been highlight-worthy IMO. Bloodborne, perhaps? And definitely Chaos;Child as I try (mostly unsuccessfully) to encourage others to play/read it. Personally I enjoyed it more than Steins;Gate.

Anime-wise I've been watching Hunter x Hunter 2011 as it plays on Toonami and it's amazing. Mob Psycho 100 is another great one I've been watching there and one I think I'm added to my "rec to Leon (and you now that you're here again!) next time suggestions are asked for. Most recently I watched Kara no Kyoukai (same author as the Fate series stuff) movies and really enjoyed those but I'm not sure how either of you two would think of them so I dunno about recs there. Attack on Titan Season 3 was indeed amazing. People finally joining me on the Historia (formerly Christa) team!

As for other TV, lol I feel like that's been something that's stayed the same for me the past few years. Mr. Robot is still probably my favorite show to have aired and I'm eagerly awaiting Season 4, though saddened that it was announced to be the final one (original plan seemed to be 5, I hope they can conclude it satisfactorily.) Better Call Saul is another show I'm always all-in for. The Expanse was indeed continuing to get even better in Season 3 and was must-see. Glad Amazon rescued it, but not sure if that helps me personally.

I'm probably forgetting a whole bunch of stuff that happened in like all those categories since you last visited lol. Glad you're back!

Having some difficulty with Natural Dancer, the floor 110 boss. It's got no weaknesses, can charm multiple people at once, and hits very hard.

Hmm... this is another tough-ish one. No easy solution, I think. Here's a couple of ideas, let me know if any of these sound like worth trying to you. If not I can keep thinking.

Idea 1 (Probably the most time intensive, but will take Charm off the board): I don't know if you've noticed, but some Persona when you fuse them they come with a Heart on them. It's random so that's why I don't know if you've seen it. This Heart turns into an item that you get after it gains some levels (specifically the level where it learns its last skill.) Some of these are meh, some of these are great. Right now though, you can probably get the Null Charm item.

If you fuse a Narcissus (Level 20 Lovers Persona) and it comes with a heart icon (I'd save scum to get it to appear) then level it to Level 25, that heart icon will become a Null Charm accessory. If you want to turbo troll, you can register it in the Compendium at Level 24 when it's close to levelling up, and then you can re-summon it to farm these accessories (the compendium saves the heart) as long as you don't overwrite it.

Idea 2 (Will help your MC - and let Yukari help damage - but I'm not sure of your level): If you're at Level 34 or higher, you can fuse a Magician Persona called Orobas. Key reasons why this helps. It nullifies all wind damage and also comes with a skill at Level 36 (but your Magician Link Bonus should take him past here so don't worry) called Wind Break that when used, sets the enemy resistance to Wind to Normal for 3 turns. That means you can use Wind (which Orobas has), Yukari can use wind magic, and if you have Magic Mirrors you can reflect his wind back at him for damage.

Idea 3 (If you have a lot of Magic Mirrors): The Mirror items are super useful. If you use these, you can stop his wind attacks or Sexy Dance (the all charm move) once per mirror. Reflecting his wind will have him null it (unless you have Wind Break like I mentioned above) and reflecting his charm will block it from hitting you. Of course, this relies on you having Magic Mirrors which are randomly found in Tartarus.

Idea 4 (YOLO, I've never tried this and it sounds to me like it wouldn't help, but...): You can only have one status ailment at a time, so in theory you could intentionally get inflicted with one to block charm. Like using Muscle Drinks to poison your characters. ...You'd be dealing with poison damage though and that might not be worth the extra damage.

1. Time feels different under this administration. You could tell me things happened in October and I'd be like "the hell that was this year?"

2. There's been like 20 "Kelly is out" stories going back to 2017 I couldn't be sure I wasn't mixing the real one up for the frauds.

Koro-chan the best. I don't really think of him as the mascot character because I don't really feel P3 has one. But if we're counting Koromaru as one, he is by far the best one. In my last few P3 replays he was part of my ~FINAL TEAM~.

I now have Pokemon Ultra Sun. I haven't played a Pokemon game since Gen 3*, what am I getting myself into?

*Sapphire save data will tell you I got all the badges, and if I concentrate really hard, I think I became Champion too, but honestly I have essentially zero recollection of Sapphire so really my Pokemon memory really only covers up to Gen 2 lol.

Yeah, that relationship and its dynamics are great throughout all the movies, but 7 had some real highlights. Really, 5, 3, 9, and 7 are all really, really good IMO. The order is almost just for show there. 8 was the only real dud IMO.

I feel like it bears reminding that the Democrats had made an offer of $25 billion for the wall in exchange for DACA and related protections back when DACA was under attack and Trump turned it down.

Now they're down to begging for $5 billion and probably will get nothing.

Sprinter (Movie 5 Ending) is definitely my favorite ending song (and song in general) from KnK but yeah there were tons of good ones. Kimi ga Hikari ni Kaete Yuku would be #2 though, I think. Oblivious and Kizuato probably next.

Part of what makes Lyon interesting are the differences in portrayal he has in Eirika v Ephraim's routes. I prefer the Ephraim take by far where he's willingly entered into the pact because had the vision of his country being devastated and he's mostly playing a part when he acts possessed - he's still totally there. With that taken into account I like to pretend he's really like that in Eirika's route but that may not be the intent idk.

Tellius villains are better anyway, but Lyon is alright in my book.

Voted PoR in the topic poll but while writing this post changed my mind and think it'd be Radiant Dawn. Super close though. RD would walk away with this if the Support Conversations weren't all but eliminated.

Radiant Dawn >= Path of Radiance > Blazing Blade > Sacred Stones > Awakening > Fates (Conquest > Revelation > Birthright)

Haven't played the others but I'd jump on remakes/localizations of 4-6.
