I'm not defending the paparazzi, but the main person at fault was surely her extremely drunk professional driver going double the speed limit in a tunnel

It's a bit "look what they made him do" to put the blame heavily on the paparazzi members, as annoying and legit damaging to society as they are
There was enough blame to go around. If they hadn't been chasing them, would he have been speeding like that? In most civil law that would make them civilly liable even if they weren't directly criminally liable.

isn't that kinda unusual , fired every single manager on the spot? You agreed with it though? That's some story about that what happened to that guy 17 consecutive days , he was kinda old right?
I wasn't there for the every manager fired on the spot incident, just that the store manager who was in charge of the Lowes it happened at was hired as as our store manager after being fired from Lowes. Given his performance at our store, I'd say the Lowes mass firing was probably justified. Last I heard he had left retail management entirely as was working part time as a substitute teacher.

With the current crop of managers at our store, I'd say a mass firing of every member of management who hasn't been with the company for at least five years (meaning predating that district manager) would be entirely justified and probably long overdue. There might be one or two worthwhile people caught up in that but for the most part the best I can say about them is they're a waste of headcount and the majority are actively detrimental to everyone around them.

The manager who died was in his mid 50s but overweight and obviously heavily stressed.

Don't even get me started on my boss for my last 3 years at the university. The best I can say there is that I got out alive. Two full professors were not so lucky; one of them attended his (forced) retirement party then went out to his car to enjoy a bottle of champagne and cyanide. The other lasted a year or so after being forcibly retired before ending it.

is this a walmart or something?
Similar. The district manager was knows for exclusively hiring Walmart management failures so it's slowly becoming a Walmart clone. It will take years to reverse the trend if they ever can, since the Walmart dregs tend to scapegoat the preexisting management whenever things go wrong.

Edit: The prior store manager was hired from Lowes where something similar happened. The district manager walked into the store and fired every single manager on the spot. Prior to him was the guy that worked 17 consecutive 12+ hour days during Covid and dropped dead.

Absolutely. The store manager here is running the place into the ground, and the district manager that hired him was fired on the spot when a company VP visited and saw the state of the store. Unfortunately the store manager was "too new" in the position to get the same treatment. That was 8 months ago and the place is still getting worse.

Just speaking personally, I am definitely able to count the engines but until reading this post I never would have known this was a difference between the two
It's a large part of the reason 747s were used on almost every ocean crossing flight. At the time it was designed jet engines still had significant reliability problems so a two-engine plane was limited to staying within a certain distance (one hour flight time but don't quote me on that) of an airport in case an engine died. Two engine planes crossing the Atlantic had to go up and over across Iceland but the four engine 747 could cross direct due to the added engine redundancy. That regulation has long since been retired as jet engines improved.

Come forward to who? We have no idea if she even talked to the police.

The reports of his arrest say that the LAPD received a tip off about an interstate victim. This article says that was a relative of that apparent victim. At no point have the LAPD actually said anything about working with the victim. Nothing in the arrest. Nothing in the lead up to this trial. Nothing in the trial from the prosecution.

There's a reason the LAPD haven't divulged a single new fact since their arrest. They want it to play out and blow over because they thought they'd get evidence after his arrest. Everything since then has happened has been strategic to protect their own asses. It isn't strategic for them to admit that they got it wrong. So chances are they have no interest in broadcasting what the fan told them after the fact. If she said she was a victim chances are they would have said so and brought her to LA for the trial and then place the blame on her.
People were asking why the purported victim wasn't coming forward to publicly deny the allegations in order to protect the guy's reputation.

That's because the above-ground part of the banana "tree" dies off every year, then regrows from the root structure the next year. Bananas are the highest waste-to-food ratio food crop in common cultivation.
