To be honest I feel there's a decent chance even a guy who fights as hard as Mike Tyson would go easy on some guy who clearly doesn't belong in the ring that he can secure a win in easily..

He's gotta feel like "man, I don't want to murder this dude, Ill just score a few points on him and not brutalize him" if he has even the slightest bit of pity

Sure. I don't think you'd ever get brain damage from just one fight. Assuming I'm not knocked out in a single hit, I'd try to turtle and be knocked down however many times as needed for a TKO.

I think you're selling human durability a bit short. Boxers probably take a few thousand punches over their careers between sparring and matches, and it's not like all of them have issues. Though it does seem to be a scarily large percentage.

I feel like you need training to be able to do what they do and not get hurt badly quickly

I'm an ex-boxer, so my answer is hell no.

He is multiple weight classes heavier than me and is far more skilled and powerful than I could ever hope to be. Even though he's older, he'd murder me in the ring, and he'd be at least maiming all of you, too.

Edit: oh, I can lose in any round? Sure, I'll turtle, act like a blocked punch knocked me out, and stay down.

I can last at least 91 seconds against Old Man Tyson and make it look legit when I take a dive and lose via KO.

I wonder why it is a scarily large percentage.

You could go the James Bonecrusher Smith option and refuse to box him, but would be near impossible to avoid him. Tyson is not in his prime, but I imagine he's still very agile and powerful.

While the latter bit is true, Tyson has like no gas tank anymore (and if we're being honest, he never had a great one since hewas usually done with opponents by rd 6).

I'm reasonably certain that someone in good physical condition can out circle him. The thing that would ruin novices is him cutting off the ring and pressing them into corner.

I highly doubt Mike Tyson is that old that he is weak.

It's very unlikely that I could last 12 rounds against anyone with professional boxing experience for 12 rounds. I'd at best gas out by round 4 and then just get wailed on. With Tyson, there's an off chance that I make it out of the first round but I doubt I even make it that far.

So if I just drop my hands and eat a knuckle sandwich and get my lights turned out I get the cash? Pretty sure I could survive a single punch, maybe a couple if I don't go down right away
