Ugh, I had this bug happen to a large project at work like three years ago. I can't remember the details of what I did unfortunately. That solution concerning the cell styles sounds really familiar.

I also vaguely remember writing a macro that purged all the custom cell formats on workbook open.

Fully-credentialed actuary at a very large insurance company (definite pros & cons to working at a "very large" company). I currently really like the job, it's basically exactly what I expected when I decided to pursue the field - using math to solve business problems (and lately, also machine learning / predictive modeling).

Aside from compensation, the things that make or break a job are the obvious: company culture, coworkers, manager (very important imo), interesting work. In general, I think that unless you're done attempting to move-up the promotion ladder, the time to change roles is when you're no longer being challenged. No longer being challenged probably means: a) you're not learning much from the role anymore; and b) you're getting bored, which may cause the quality of your work to suffer.

LOVE coffee. I'm a two cup-a-day guy.

I have a Nespresso that I use for quick morning-cups, but I also often like to visit different coffee shops around the area to sample their cortados (my favorite drink). I used to be a french-press guy, but once I got the Nespresso I became super lazy for my at-home cups.

Fate is such a rabbit hole. If you have any desire whatsoever to read the Fate/stay night VN, then I would recommend not starting Fate/Zero. However, if you have no desire to read the VN, then yeah, you should watch Fate/Zero at some point - it's really good.

If you really insist on staying elsewhere, I'd recommend Long Island City or Hunter's Point in Queens (nice skyline views and near the 7 train, which will make your commute easy). Under no circumstances should you stay in Newark as someone very cruelly suggested.

I'll also echo this as yet another NYC native. The terminus of the 7 line will put you right at Javits Center.

But yeah, probably better to try and find a hotel in Manhattan.

Comparing movies across decades is a crapshoot anyway. "Inflation" is just one factor of so many that makes the comparison useless.

Number of movie theaters, availability of 3D/IMAX/etc tickets, exchange rates for international markets, the rise of streaming services, how fast before the movie is available for home watching, wider international releases (esp China), time movies would sit in theaters, ...

So I mean, sure, you can adjust for inflation. The overall numbers are still kinda meaningless. You just can't really know how an old movie would fare nowadays.
