I just got a remote control Star Wars toy of a BB-9e droid.

My parents got me this for my birthday and I'm just like wtf? What is the point in this thing? I'm not trying to sound ungrateful, but what use could I possibly have this thing for? If I was 3-10 years old, I would have found a use with this toy if I was gathering a collection of Star Wars toys like I did when I did with both Power Rangers and Pokemon, which I had dozens of toys of each, and with them I would play for hours while making my own stories with these toys.

So I'm left wondering as I stare at this "toy" as to what I'm supposed to do with it.

When in doubt, it wouldn't hurt if you can cite supporting research to whatever knowledge you're putting forth.

Youre missing the point of a research paper if you do that. How would you feel if you read an article that made a claim about something you were unfamiliar with and they stated that it was accurate because they knew it was?

Because I would assume that it is common knowledge, because my professor said not to cite things that are common knowledge, like the signing of the declaration of Independence, and that George Washington is the first president.

In a research paper? Lets say I'm writing about a subject, and I put my own knowledge of the subject on the paper without using any sources, because I already know things about the subject that I'm writing upon?

I just purchased a 60 dollar Xbox 360 with the 60 dollar rebate that was supposed to come with it on Black Friday, and it didn't even have a fucking hard drive.
