All news sources are never 100% reliable
Be honest, what news source really tries to be accurate rather than quick to report now?
Very difficult to believe anybody at this point
All news sources are never 100% reliable
But that said, not all are 100% unreliable
Sadly, many people dont even make it past the first headline.
Even when there's video of an event, they still spin the fuck out of it to fit their chosen agenda.
CNN makes MSNBC look right-wing.

I certainly wouldn't go that far. MSNBC is generally a lot further left than other news sources. They're essentially the leftist version of Fox News, especially when you consider their histories.

People seem to think that major news agencies can just make shit up, journalistic integrity is a real thing and they will get major shit for getting things wrong, regardless of political affiliation. That said they can choose what to report on and when but it's not like some wasteland of disinformation, we the consumer are held to at least some standard, and screeching "fake news!" does nothing to help.

Theres a difference between reporting a false story (which they can get in trouble for and doesnt happen all that often for that very reason), and spinning a story to fit an agenda, which will not generally get anyone in any real trouble and happens every single fucking day.

There will always be an agenda, those that agree with it see it as truth and those that don't will see it as propaganda, it's our job as consumers to see this and make our judgement. We have more news sources than ever and more agendas than ever, you can get all your news from one source to validate all your beliefs, this will always exist and if you aren't seeing your "truth" its your problem.

...except for the fact that selective reporting can be and is used for disinformation. Especially when they choose to report on unverified claims. Even when they note that it's purely speculation, it still creates an impression within peoples' minds which is why it's completely irresponsible journalism.

And I bet you think Fox News is a beacon of news reporting with the way they literally fabricate stories and run like a state propaganda channel.

I still love how your automatic deflection is, "But... but... Fox News!", despite the fact that I already disparaged Fox News once in this topic by putting in the same camp as MSNBC. You're emblematic of partisan nonsense ruining the media today by assuming that anybody who dares criticize your echo chamber must be on the other side of the partisan spectrum.
And, despite the narrative you (and others) so fervently clung to and tried to advance, I'm not sure I've once spoke favorably of Fox News on PotD or anywhere else. And virtually the extent of my knowledge of Fox News comes from clips shown on the Jon Stewart-era Daily Show, the Colbert Report, Last Week Tonight, and similar programs.

Putting fox news int he same camp of any of the other main stream media sources is the problem.
It's not "just as bad". It is objectively worse.

You only say this because you're a hardcore leftist (as I've seen you demonstrate many times... I think you're one of the guys quick to scream "nazi" at people who disagree with you). As someone with the ability to think for myself I see them both as pretty equally garbage
To tell the truth, I haven't even glanced at MSNBC for a long time.
But ever since the election cycle started, CNN rebranded itself as the Anti-Trump Propaganda Network.
And that is when I realized how garbage CNN is.
They choose to cover and report whatever has a chance to make the President look bad.. when that illegal alien got off for killing that American girl they were reporting more Russian meddling stories
My take on the matter, is the same as ...

What gets me is that every time a news organization puts on 1)one of the president's unredacted tweets, 2)shows a video released by the WH where the president says something really lame brained and offensive and 3) reports on any news that might be against this president, they're labeled 'fake news' by the masses. Nobody had any problem trashing Obama (Fox News and every right wing radio station in the country called him every racist name in the book, if not more); yet little old creampuff can't take criticism of his policies or behavior? How low have we sunk in this country?

lol hardcore. And no, I don't call people nazis. You know unless someone started talking about genetic cleansing, but instead of responding to them I would simply report them.
