Is that text so important that it can't wait for you when you're out of the car or at least, stopped and NOT at a stoplight or in traffic? Bluetooth devices exist for a reason - use them if you need to make a call. I swear. I almost t-boned a woman on my way home from work because she wasn't paying attention and looking down at something (I'm assuming a phone). I had the right-of-way and she decided to pull out of the stop at a T-junction seconds before me. Good thing I was paying attention to my surroundings and braked, only to be rewarded by her giving me the finger instead. In any case, I don't care if you're stuck in traffic, waiting for the light to turn green, or nobody else is around to pose a threat to. If you're driving, stay off your phone.
