I enjoy it during december. The snowman, santa and reindeer songs get skipped, which leaves plenty of other stuff

It's better than listening to our inane president acting like a 2 year old and calling people names, etc. Excuse me I shouldn't insult 2 year olds like that. It's just that every time I see Trump open his mouth, I want to shove a pacifier in it.

true dat, back when the family used to have big dinners, get togethers, concerts, twas good times. But i'm the older one now so it's the younger ones turns, as they say it's mostly for them.

Because the weather outside is frightful

according to my local news. some study is trying to say most adults find christmas music stressful. despite not caring for christmas music I guess I don't fall into that category.. only time I see it being stressful is if you work a retail job and have to hear it all day. ex friend of mine last I heard still gets angry if he hears the song feliz navidad due to the time he worked at a taco bell during the holidays.

Otherwise, while I'm sure a lot of it is done for the kids, it's also older folks who like listening to the songs for some reason. The thing that annoys me (besides most Christmas music not being particularly good) is that we have a million songs for Christmas, yet every Halloween it's mostly just the Monster Mash and Purple People Eater. Where the fuck are all the Halloween songs? I know that at least some exist -- since Aqua and, of course, you have a lot of stuff from Nightmare Before Christmas (also my favorite Christmas songs) -- but they don't get much airtime or attention during the season.

I used to love Christmas time and Christmas music.

The problem is now twofold:
1. Time goes a lot faster when you're older and not doing shit with your life. Referring to myself here.

2. They (mostly stores) start the Christmas bonanza on the day after Halloween. Too soon!

My mom starts listening to chriatmas music in December. She loves them. I, for one, also like them a lot. There are certain ones i like to hear. And since it's only around this time of year, it's not too bad to hear them a bunch for me.

@zues Thank you for that song. Also, other than the Nightmare before Christmas, they have Halloween songs. But not as many, and most of them are ones that people don't know about usually. Or from movies.

As for when they start, I was talking to my friend about that the other day. They do start early sometimes. I think December 1st is a good starting point, but some start right after Thanksgiving, which isn't too bad. Then you have the ones who start right after Halloween. That's way too early!
