When I was 10, I saw the original cast of Broadway's BatB perform at the Kennedy Center. It was quite a great show... but then Be Our Guest started. It was the most riveting musical performance I've ever seen. It was like seeing the actual Music Man in real life dressed as a candlestick; he exuded this magical charisma, unlike any show I've been to before or since. I remember quite vividly how the audience stood after the number and applauded for 5 minutes. Five straight minutes. Every time Belle stepped forward to say her line, the crowd applauded even louder. Everything about Lumiere's performance was intoxicating. Ever since that show, I've been a fan of musicals and Disney films in particular. It spurred on my passion for everything in this entire contest. For me, Lumiere, has defined the concept of the show-stealer, the pinnacle of performance, the essence of the greatest Disney moments.

Just a damn great upbeat tune that really uses the Genesis sounds well. The drum samples are actually really good and utilizes that FM Synth. It's particularly cool at 2:27.
