Just to add onto this, you saw this a ton with the Halo show. Which, admittedly was not very good. However, if you popped into any video about the series, or any fan community, it was filled with people who hated it watching it week to week and filling threads with negative comments.

Like yeah, it's okay to dislike something. But my solution was to... not watch it? I couldn't do something week after week if it was going to cause me so much grief.

Also similarly annoying was LOST, even a decade later. One user on here (I think it was jeff) started a watch thread mentioning he'd watched the pilot and loved it. Immediately the thread gets filled with people spoiling shit and telling him to stop watching the show.
