Electric isn't the solution. The only way I'll do it is if they make them solar... otherwise, nah, going to wait on the real revolution of energy, whatever form it'll take. It's not electric, though.

I bought a gas car a couple weeks ago because fuck off hippies!

Couple reasons.

I live in an apartment
Not in the market for one

Ive got an order in for a hybrid, not going full electric though. Seems like a good inbetween.

I'm not rolling in money.

because the cost to replace a battery can be a hefty price, i've read some tesla batteries are up to $22k, which is about what a new or cpo used car would cost.

Because the electricity prices the last year have been the highest ever, and the solution is not to have more products using more electricity.

No support around here to charge it outside of home, and gas has been among the lowest in the nation since living here. I'll make the change eventually when the tech makes more sense, boss has an electric Tesla and he vents about it a lot.

I don't drive

I really like the BMW i4 but for the price point Id rather just get an ICE 3 series instead.

Im done owning cars. Way too much of a hassle.

Waiting for better hydrogen/electric hybrid, probably the future, also driving a 2013 Nissan Leaf on the last leg of it's battery life, thank goodness my commute is 5 miles.

Until I can stagger into my car completely wasted, and wake up in my garage the next afternoon, we have failed.

I still drive a 2016 nissan rogue which has 23K miles in it. I will go electric when that breaks down.

Here in Australia they start at around 200k. Gimmie gimmie gimmie and I'll go out and buy one.

There are very few good options in Australia and they are all really expensive and Im still very happy with the Honda City I bought new in 2011

I'm not gonna buy another vehicle until mine dies.

I have never had a driver's license. But also because my statechas little to no support i think. I am not aware of any electrical charging stations where I live. And my state is filled with very long drives through remote areas. It isn't feasible yet.

Cuz I've literally only seen 1 place around here to charge it

No charge stations near me, dont wanna have to park for an hour or more at one either.

Im looking more into an electric motorcycle. Already have a pedal assit bike and a emove roadrunner. Naturally the next purchase would be a motorcycle.

My GF has a Tesla Model 3, it has astounded me with all the functionalities. If I get to the (unlikely) stage where I can comfortably afford one my oneself I'd probably get one.

1) I don't drive
2) I'm not rich
3) Too inconvenient to refuel, might be outright not an option depending on where you live

Because I drive my vehicles into the ground and this one still has some life in it.

Not even really sure what Ill do for the next one honestly.

Thats not a viable option for many people, hence why many people have a personal vehicle of some kind.

I wouldn't mind getting an electric pickup (or at least a hybrid).

I want a stick-shift car, though, that ain't changing.

No hot girl has ever tried to sell me one by offering sex first.

It doesn't make sense for me.

I drive to/from work everyday and there won't be enough time to adequately charge the vehicle so I can keep driving it without installing a large charger in my home.

I also park my vehicles outdoors, so stopping to plug a vehicle in during the winter is not something I want to do.

I'm not rich.

Would take way too long to hit break even on any savings. I really dont drive much. I would have to install a charger in the house which would be expensive especially since I would have to upgrade the fuse box to add anything else.

They aren't feasible in poor/rural areas like the one I live in.

The charging infrastructure just isn't there yet. I can't get a fully electric vehicle until I can easily charge up anywhere, or I can buy a house and install a charging cable in my garage... But given the houses costs, I think the infrastructure will happen first
