Not really sure why, but I lurk quite a few places (not just on gamefaqs either)

The only places I really post are in the board for whichever game I'm playing through at the moment, or here during contest season. I never really work up the energy I guess to continue posting here during the offseason, but I still habitually view the board from time to time. Can't really give you a better explanation that that though

Depends what you mean by perfect. I haven't yet found a game I couldn't find even one criticism for, although there are a few that I'd have to really nitpick to complain about.

Most recently, I think Skyward Sword came really close, despite what others probably think. Really the only things wrong with it were that they could have made the sky larger, and they could have removed the stupid tadtone quest.

FF7 is a pretty good rpg, but it hasn't aged nearly as well as its fans would like to believe. That being said, it's still fun, and I can see why people like it as much as they do; I just wasnt a huge fan of it. Granted, I also had like half the story spoiled for me before I even started the game, so that probably took away from my own experience with it.

OoT on the other hand, is still a fantastic game. It's not my favorite, but it's definitely in my "top tier" of games if you will.

Oh wow am I glad to see Final Fantasy IX doing this well, seeing as it stands head-and-shoulders above nearly every other single player game that I have played.

If only it could get above FFVII, that would be the day.

Basically what everyone else has said. I felt Skyward Sword had a really good soundtrack, even relative to other games in the series, and I don't think anyone has mentioned the Persona soundtracks either. (and presumably other SMT games the only one I have played is Nocturne though, which was a good soundtrack, but nothing incredible)

So I personally don't understand how people don't believe in something. I can completely understand agnosticism but a belief in nothing at all confuses me. I don't understand why you would even bother doing anything productive or moral at all.


So I'm curious, what is your purpose for living? Does the concept of death bother you?

I would argue that the belief that there is no such higher power is only confusing was because you were raised to believe otherwise. i find it just as confusing that people would belief in a higher power based solely on faith. It may be the case that there is such a higher power that simply chooses not to intervene in human life, but if that is the case than his existence is irrelevant as far as I am concerned.

To address the other questions: I choose to be a good person for two reasons. First, the world is better off if everyone is follows "good morals," and I personally find my life more enjoyable if I behave as such. I would believe that people should behave morally for the sake of it rather than to appease some higher power.

On your last two questions, I dont think life has an intrinsic purpose, but my "purpose" is simply to improve my own life as much as possible without unjustly harming that of others. And yes, the concept of death bothers me, but I have accepted it as fact of life.

Heck, they don't even need to do a dungeon, they could of just done what they did for the thunder dragon, which was great. Or, you know, literally anything other than collecting tadpoles.

I select this entirely because of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but I also get R.E.M, Reel Big Fish, and Rise Against as a bonus. Rush and Rolling Stones are pretty good to, but not near as important for me. There might be some I'm forgetting also, but this is enough to convince me.

C, but it's a really fine line. You shouldn't be able to just blindly rush through a game without grinding or putting any thought into anything. However, the game should be difficult enough that doing bosses should be a challenge and should require tactical strategy or something in the absence of grinding. Plus there is also games like Persona 3 that definitely require grinding and do it really well.

What should be avoided at all costs is a situation where the gamer reaches a certain point and suddenly finds that they have to grind for an hour to advance.

Fi is such a joke its not even funny. It's as if Nintendo looked at opinions of Navi and said "Oh, these helper characters are supposed to be annoying; that's what they want," and it was obviously an absolute disaster.

Whatever you do don't get 8. The first 1-2 disks are pretty good, but overall its better if we just dont talk about that game >.>

If you want one that's most indicitive of the rest of the series then I'd say VII is your best bet. I personally found 7 rather boring though, as the first disk really drags at times. Of the ones listed I'd say 9 is my favorite because of the great story/character, but of course that's just my opinion. I've never played VI also, so I can't really say how good that is.

If grabbing a collection of things like that isnt allowed, I'd probably grab my laptop or something.

Persona 3>Persona 4 by a long shot imo.

The atmosphere was totally different in the two games. Persona 4 felt way too much like one big joke for me to take it seriously, whereas the vast majority of Persona 3 was tense and exciting.

Disclaimer: I only got about 15 or 20 hours through Persona 4 the time I played it, so if it gets significantly better after that than I may be wrong. I do plan on finishing it at some point though.

Perhaps I am being a little too harsh, but the bosses of TP were so laughable that they really brought the dungeons down as a whole. That weren't bad, but I thought the dungeons overall fell short of other Zelda dungeons. There were some great ones (ie. Arbiter's Grounds), but overall I just wasn't that impressed.

Hailfire Peaks wins by virtue of being both the best ice and lava level, or at lest one of the best. Other really good ice levels that I can think of are Cool Cool Mountain in SM64 (only because of the slide), and whatever the Ice level was in Majoras Mask was.

I love all of the movies, but Two Towers is quite clearly the weakest of the LotR trilogy.

If we are counting game trilogies Jak and Daxter fits quite nicely. The ranking can also be applied to the SSB games released so far, although that definitely isn't a trilogy.

Loving this list tbqh, other than the low ranking for the Wind Temple in Wind Waker.

When I first started reading boards for SS, I didn't understand the love for Lanayru Mining Facility. There was really nothing that special about it. It wasn't bad by any stretch, but it was the worst dungeon in the game other than the second one. Granted, I also absolutely despise the Beetle as an item, so I suppose I just have different tastes than most of you.

Star Wars original trilogy definitely goes this way. The only other one I can think of that has a chance is X-Men. 2 is by far the best of the trilogy, the 3>1 is a huge stretch though, I probably wouldnt include it myself.
