I feel like it's a remnant of an older time when we had a different relationship with nature. Like it was something that had tons of resources that you could go and grab.

Coal was a key factor to enable an industrial revolution. Nations that had easy access to it were able to industrialize much faster. Also colonisation.

Dunno. I work in engineering and use that stuff all the time. Never seen anybody use lines like that though.

The thing with math is that it's the kind of stuff they people will never learn by themselves outside school. Like they can google their way out of a lot of stuff but math you just need to be forced into it.

I kinda like tarkov for it's originality but I hate it for how sweaty it is. Like there are no functional map in the game and your character is wounded when you die so you have to wait like 30 min to heal. There's also apparently a huge hacker problem.

Playing it right now. Might not finish it. The game feels heavily padded. Like all sidequests feel like a total waste of time. I feel like the entire combat system could be stripped off the game and it would be an improvement.
TopicBuying a house - Any flaws in this logic?
polopili
07/26/22 6:46:36 PM

Real estate is not a bad investment, but you need to know about houses. Like you must be able to tell which one is a good deal and will earn value. The plan also relies on the housing market being still somewhat affordable in a few years for the next house.

You will be a landlord, which means you will have to either invest time and money for maintenance at the first house. The tenants might constantly complain about stuff or start trouble with the neighbors.

Poutine is great, what else they got?

Pudding chmeur is a simple yet excellent dessert made with maple syrup.

Cipaille is a rustic meat pie mostly made during holidays.

Everything else can be skipped imo. Maple syrup related dishes and poutine are the main appeal.

But Elon claims he works really hard.

See, sometimes he has a late night at the bar or in the office (which he owns so it is basically just his house) where he talks about money and therefore it is work even if he is hammered and a escort is in the room.

I read his biography and apparently he worked really hard when he started X.com in 1999, pulling all-nighters and sleeping on a matress next to his desk. He only did this for a year before the company merged and he didn't have to do programming anymore. He's probably still stuck in this mindset that he got rich enirely because of that one year of long work hours.

I just finished the game. Got a few questions about the story. so the elden beast is actually the elden ring? Wasn't it shattered? wouldn't the elden beast want you to repair the ring? most of the endings involve repairing it using a mending rune. Also what's the deal with most great runes being optional to repair the ring? Like only 2 are needed? Why did Marika's children even fight each other if nobody cares about these?

This is an old trolling math problem from the last century.

I still like 1 better. Why not use a * sign before the first parenthese? you used the obsolete sign before so why intentionnaly skip the * sign? to me skipping it always acted as a shortcut to adding a second set of parentheses. And why not put the (1+2) part first? Like if it's meant to be the top part of the fraction, why put it after the sign?
