I'm Canadian and I spent a lot of time in Arkansas for work. I think it rivals Mississippi as the state I hated the most.

I'm currently working on replacing workers with robots at the mill I work at. The thing is that robots can be quite expensive, a single collaborative robot arm can cost up to 100k once the project is over. The project viability mostly comes from how fast the robot will pay itself from not paying employees to do its job. So the higher paid the employee is, the easier it is to justify replacing with a robot.

It's quite common to use a 2-3 years payback time for such projects. So for a 2 year project, the robot becomes worth it probably around $14-15/hour considering the robot needs spare parts and can work two shifts.

I finished the first one and started the 2nd one. The first one is probably not worth playing today. There's not a lot of story and you'll be fighting the same enemies in the same confusing corridors forever.

2nd one is better in every way but I was burnt out from the first one. I felt like after 30 minutes I had seen everything since the formula remains the same. I probably played too many of these soulslike by now.

The entire forestry industry is made up of dangerous, low-paying jobs. They also require you to spend most of your time in remote areas. It's also super sexist and women very rarely hold important roles.

Start with simple home projects and gradually move to more complex ones. Stuff like installing ceramic tiles or painting are fairly easy. There's plenty of home renovation youtube channels you can find inspiration. It also costs money. Gotta buy a bunch of tools that will only be used rarely.

Played the beta and it felt like a game that should have been released in 2008.

I finished it and it was delicious. I like how you can speed up the game very fast so turn based does not feel painful at all.

I work in a lumber mill as an engineer and there is a huge shortage. The thing is that it's mostly low-paying jobs that work on a single shift so I cannot easily automate these. Like robots are expensive and they need to work a lot to be worthwhile. We calculate the payback time using that low salary so that makes it longer.

It's great but not everyone will like it's dreamy artsy side.
