Not much to say about it. I ended my shift and needed to get home fast in order to do Work at Home overtime, so I called an Uber. It was an average conversation, not my best line of work by any means. She was fired from her other job recently because a customer caught her texting lol.

Not sure why I did what I did. Maybe it was because I'm trying to expand past online dating. Maybe I was happy to finally get a female Uber driver I (I almost always get males). I pop the question to her "if you're not doing anything next week, we should do something."

There are better ways to ask out a woman, no doubt. This was very informal. Also I gave her my number instead of asking for hers. Probably better that she doesn't call or text me then to either find out the number she gave me was fake or I'm texting someone that isn't interested (or she just says no). I know for sure I'm not gonna hear from her, but it was still cool that I tried. And there was no pressure either. Overall I'm glad I did it, unless I get blacklisted from Uber lol.

at every job I've ever worked at, the closing time isn't when the shop closes, its when we start clearing the queue of customers and not letting new people come in. there's still cleaning and filling that needs to be done

closing 2-3 minutes before your shift ends means you're not fulfilling 100% of your job requirements

I blame the business. If you want to keep those customers happy, then close at the time you say, not 10-15 minutes early, and start giving out overtime pay for your employees

I used to work in a call center, and if customer called one minute before my shift ended - then I would be stuck on that call until they hung up (we weren't allowed to hang up)

I can't complain. I leave at 8:00. If they call at 7:59, that is technically before my shift is over so I'm required to take it. Therefore I'm annoyed to see that a store would technically close 20 minutes early. If you want to advertise that you close at 8:00, then you better stay open until then

I understand these are different job fields, but I think these two should be treated the same.
