kid: mummy can you tell the person who owns this car that there's a penny stuck in the vent
mum: you know if you don't know if it's a boy or a girl you can say "them"
kid: ok. If I don't know they are a boy or a girl I just call them by their name.

Also, you'd be surprised. My girlfriend's kid was pretty gender neutral in everything until he went to nursery, and then started to be told by teachers and other kids that "these are the boys toys", "these are the girls toys", "thats a girls haircut", and then started to come home and change what toys they wanted to play with. Kids learn this stuff consciously because people tell them, I think.

Literally had a chat with a 5 year old about this, trying to put it into terms a child would understand.

Me: Well sometimes people aren't really boys or girls.
Her: Why?
Me: Well maybe they just don't really feel like a boy or girl. Maybe there are people who look like girls but like to do things that boys do.
Her: But girls can do anything.

Outwoked by a 5 year old. And conservatives think these topics are too complicated for kids.

You guys are missing the point. It costs like 10k to put 1lb of anything into space. There's 269,000 tonnes of trash in our oceans. So how are you going to achieve this?

The sun would be fine, but the logistics of being able to transport a meaningful amount of garbage to the sun basically renders the idea impossible

6ft1, 187lbs. I'm not skinny, but I train and I want to pack on some serious bulk and enter my daddy years.

I'll be honest, I don't meticulously track my diet and I'm aware that's the issue. I hit my protein goal every day and I just try to get in extra meals, but I found on holiday I was eating at everyone else's pace rather than my own, so rather than 5 meals a day I'd get in 2 or 3.

Y'all aren't gonna like this but for the past year I've been trying to gain and I make short term success but any deviation from my diet and I'm back at square one. I went on holiday at 187lbs and came back from holiday at 182. What the actual fuck?

I'm 35. "Out of my league" is less about looks now and more about salary, education and life hobbies.

it's weird. I went my whole life not knowing how to solve one, and then just got hyperfocused one evening and learned how to do it in about 2 hours by watching youtube tutorials.

After that my time went from about 30 minutes to solve it to 15, to 10, to 5, 3 and then down to 1 minute. I'm sure if I bothered to learn the more advanced algorithms I could get it down to about 15-20 seconds at least, but I'm not that invested anymore.

I can solve one in about a minute.

Maybe my experiences have made me biased. I've only had horrible jobs with horrible people and everyone I know with a white collar job seems to love it.

The easiest job I ever had was getting paid 100k a year to load cement bags into a mixer.

The hardest job I ever had was account managing 50 marketing campaigns for a digital marketing startup, and I made nearly half that.

That said there are perks to being in a comfortable office space with amenities. I dont miss washing red dirt out of my fingernails every day.

I used to work blue collar and now I work white collar.

Turns out that it literally does not matter what you do, the stress you have in your job is almost entirely because of who you have to work with.

Not sure if you can see in my first vid but I have some Adidas powerlifts on there. Really helped me get low in the squat, but I still need to work on keeping it tight when it gets heavy.

Looks pretty damn solid. Only thing I notice is that it looks like maybe your back angle is opening too soon. If I remember correctly from what I read from Rippetoe, the back angle should stay the same until the bar hits your knees, then you open up. So more leg drive at the bottom

But I'd wait for the guru PPP to chime in with the real answer lol

I've had some conflicting advice here, so I dunno. Some say my hips come up too high, others say just start at a higher angle.

The new anime is so much better than it has any right to be. Goes to show how good animation and pacing can elevate a mediocre manga beyond itself.

I've seen much worse than that, but some things you can do: more ab work like ab rolling and planks, get a belt for use on your top-set, think about sitting back on your heels more and rising with your shoulders first, and experiment with a low-bar set-up vs high-bar.

Thanks! I actually found an article by greg nuckols talking about ways to actively brace better, and it included using planks to wake things up a little before squatting.

I don't think I have the mobility for high bar squats, my femurs are pretty long and my ankles stiff af.
