I've never done Ages or Seasons, personally. Handheld Zelda in general never hit me quite right, like I could just 'feel' that they were done by smaller development teams with different styles from the mainline entries.

Damn you need to try at least 1 3D zelda. OoT MM TP and maybe WW are all good ones to start on. SS and BOTW shake up the formula a little (SS) to a lot (botw)

Also if you like links awakening the oracle games may definitely be something you like

Oddly I can too but we used dense foam balls with a soccer ball like outside. Things hurt worse. The rubber ball just stung a bit. But ive seen what we used mostly draw blood several times. Seen a kid hit so hard he did a back flip. Seen a few get their legs taken out from under them. And then they made the mistake of doing a co-ed dodge ball game and i made a girl run off the court crying. I was used to playing with nothing but guys so out of instinct I threw as hard as I could. I heard a rumor (possible DP3 spoilers) that Deadpool 3 is going to be Deadpool basically retconning himself into MCU events to some degree.

not sure how accurate it is but I am kind of intrigued as to how it would turn out because I think it would be pretty awesome for him to do it.

Alan Moore retconned the entire origin story of Swamp Thing in The Anatomy Lesson. Im not sure that it's strictly better than the original, but it's still a really great twist and one of the very few "well akshully" twists I like

Man I went a long ass time knowing about swamp thing (even had a toy as a kid and recall a movie or something) and not knowing he was a DC character.

Then again I had a Mr sinister toy and just thought it was a generic Dracula rip off

The retcon power did actually kinda disappoint me because I think my favorite aspect of Homestuck was its consistent time travel rules.

I dunno, the vibe I got was that if MGS3 was with Snake, he'd have made the same jokes. But I guess he didn't do that in MGS4, so I suppose you're right.

I mean I guess but they didn't use solid. So the comedy side became more a big boss thing. Cant recall if he had jokes in PO but iirc there was a lot less non main story banter

As someone who's only played MGS3 to see BB, he and Snake are virtually identical to me. I guess I remember him being a little more joking than Snake, but that seemed more reflective of the time the game was released to me.

Yeah when they are serious they are about the same. But 3 is choc full of him saying stupid shit. Like talking about eating his own shit just to gross out para medic.

Mgs 3 to ps4 to gz/tpp you see him descend from a jovial guy who finds time to crack jokes during a mission to only cracking them when not on a mission to the cold callous guy we got in GZ/tpp who afaik only makes one joke and it was a mean spirited one

Opinions. To me he felt like he had more personality. Even if after 3 the comedic side of him got regulated to cassettes.

Some of my favorites include his codec call to Sigint about how cardboard boxes make hin feel safe. And in PW where the cardboard tank is introduced by R&D and Miller thinks it's stupid but big boss is absolutely excited about it cause its cardboard.

Think he managed to have at least one funny line in V where he jokingly said somethint about seending huey to ocelot to talk about something. Huey freaks out a little venom chuckles and they is all "not funny man"

Mgs 4 overcorrecting with nanomachines is one thing, but the fact that mgs 5 tries to overcorrect the events of metal gear 1 and 2 is just... yeah. I never bothered playing it, noped out by mgs4. I didn't even play peace walker, I just don't care about big boss and don't get the creator's fascination with him nor mgs fans' fascination with him.

He's definitely more entertaining than solid.

I think Venom makes Big Boss out to be an absolute pussy in the events between Peace Walker and MG1 and destroys the entire betrayal of feelings that Solid Snake is meant to have in MG1 about Big Boss. I think it cheapens the modern arc of the franchise considerably and worse off, they dont actually do anything interesting with the time you play as Venom given what Big Boss was supposedly actually doing between MGS3 and MG1. I disregard Venom from canon wholesale, and I couldnt care less about whether or not its realistic that a boss in a MSX game with no plans for a sequel ever was fought with a rocket launcher

I mean that's your right and everything but I see it as naked couldnt fulfill his plans of building a nation if he had the US's eyes on him thus a body double. Wasnt evem his idea but he took advantage of what was given to him. And yeah a pissy entered a collapsing outer heaven to rescue soldiers. So cowardly

MGS series spoilers

I actually really enjoyed V introducing Venom into the mix. Him being the one you fight in MG1's Outer Heaven makes a lot more sense than Big Boss somehow surviving getting blasted apart by a rocket launcher.

I've argued this point to so many people. They like to bring up you can beat other bosses with a rocket launcher in the series but that's optional. You have to in mg1 which makes it canon

Yes, its a good game. Don't believe all the critics about the linearity. Its JUST as linear as FFX was. In fact XIII might be less linear since at one point the world does open up for some exploration. There was almost none of that in FFX. The story, while good, can be kind of confusing at times so you'll definitely want to read the little journal thing in the game that helps explain some stuff better. I will admit the character Hope was extremely annoying. And Vanille's voice got to me at times. However, Fang, Sazh, Lightning, and Snow were all great characters.

I never got the hate for hope. I won't argue hes a great character. But he was ok.

Sazh though is one of my favorite FF characters

I know it was kind of a throwaway line in one of the movies, but I never watched all of Super or read the manga afterwards.

Think it was brought up in super as well

I didn't personally like the changes super made to that story arc.

The original episode has him finding his dog's fossil. The Professor says they can bring Seymour back to life, but in the process, they learn that he lived for many, many years after Fry disappeared. Fry stops the process, believing that Seymour happily lived his life without him. Then the gut-wrenching ending is that Seymour never stopped waiting for Fry to come home. The last you see of him is an elderly Seymour tiredly laying down, presumably dying and still waiting on Fry to come home.

Was him being gay really a retcon? Just seemed like something they didnt bother bringing up. I personally dont care for the idea if a characters sexuality isn't brought up they are straight by default. But thats probably cause I'm big on using head canon to have things how I want them if the creator leavea that kinda room

No the characters and the plot suck, the same damn obnoxious song plays through 90% of the game, and the gameplay is just mind numbingly boring.

Worst FF game I have played.

Sazh is one of the best final fantasy characters around. And for as much of a super serious bitch lightning is it made me really happy to see her smile for once at the end

I'll give you the story is mediocre compared to most final fantasy games though. But I really did like the lore. Only reason I was dissapointed in XV being changed from versus XIII they removed the lore where as type 0 for some reason changed from agito XIII and kept the lore

I remember all the hate Majora's Mask got when it came out. But I love it. Then, people seemed to love it when Wind Waker came out. But hated Wind Waker for it's graphics. Then they loved Wind Waker when Twilight Princess came out. Though, if I'm being honest, I don't remember Twilight Princess getting a lot of hate... But I also didn't pay attention as much to how people were reacting to the game...

I remember TP getting hate for being too dark and gritty for a zelda. People thinking the wolf thing was lame (which that was my least favorite parts of the game) and I think some people tried slamming it by calling OoT 2.0

Its probably my favorite in the series though.

Yeah I think people have even dubbed this sort of thing the zelda curse. Where the newest always gets the most hate. Hell since skyward sword re released ive seen some claim its the best zelda when even with botw around I saw most people saying it was the worst. It was between it and botw I saw most often sited as worst

Yes. Not the best final fantasy but this site tends to overhype the hate for a game.

As with other series though it seems to be a case of hate the newest entry as now you see people saying its good and hating 15. I recall 12 being hated on heavily as well here when it was new.

Jurors are told to refrain from researching the case on their own, and to only consider the evidence presented during the trial. That's also why they dismiss jurors shown to have prior knowledge of the person-on-trial during the jury selection process.

I don't see why a lawyer could not request it be brought up in the actual court proceedings though. At least the sonic fiasco in that store if nothing else
