yes and I prefer them with peanut butter on them over butter. and that still includes the syrup.

and they are leagues above pancakes to me, but then again I spent a school year with my grandmother once and she made me pancakes almost every damn morning, got so burnt out I wouldn't touch pancakes for damn near a decade.

trust me the younger males probably think they look sexy as well, they just naturally don't have a problem with it. they'd probably have a problem if other dudes started walking around in banana hammocks though.

makes me remember once I saw a teacher refer to a girl as a slut for putting a for sale sticker on her ass. girl did it as a joke and didn't intend to keep it on all day, she had literally just stuck it on when teacher threw that out.

on topic, the dress does look a tad short, but the second outfit I fail to see a problem with.

not the first time its been done. in metal gear solid PW Kazuhira (only half japanese) talks about how badly he was treated for being half white.

Because Trump doesn't care about climate change. She wasn't very articulate, but you have to be willfully misconstruing what she was saying to think she meant that Trump had a weather machine he was using to cause hurricanes, or something.

Exactly.

Tolerance is not equal to acceptance.

I just find it odd my grandma's best friend was a gay dude, and she was also friends with his partner, but yet she acted like it was such sin for a family member. but I guess that boils down to her Christianity. love thy neighbor, don't pass judgement etc. but she didn't want her close family to be these supposed sinners cause I guess in her mind she taught them better.

It may be surprising to some, but the fact is, many people do feel this way, deep down.

People tolerate things they don't necessarily agree with personally.

And they can be friends with gays but still be unaccepting of them within their private space (family). This is because they view this as a separate issue and does not have a place in their lives privately. Simply put: "It's okay if it doesn't happen in my backyard."

I actually don't know how she felt about more distant relatives, i've only seen that behavior with close family members, but she was that way on more than one issue as I earlier posted about her being supportive of my moms teen and pregnant friends but lost her shit when my mom got pregnant at 20 but was unmarried.

as I said I feel it was her Christianity which does basically boil down to what you said about not in my backyard

Yup. That's right. She was upset because it happened to her daughter. Her daughter's friends and their "misfortunes" are sad but not her concern so while she will sympathise with them, in the end, she won't care.

come to think of it too, she was always always nice when around non family. she only ever showed anger or other emotions period when around only family with a few exceptions naturally. over all she was a good woman, but had her flaws

While I do find it hypocritical, you actually have to respect that when it comes to family, there's usually a larger point of view than just yourself. Family is complicated as hell.

I could actually see someone being fine having gay friends and supporting gay people, while still wanting a traditional marriage in their family, but I do think that would be more a group pressure if the rest of the family opposed it as well. I still think you should stand up to them and defend any gay person, but I'd understand if it was hard fighting your family. Personally, I'd take the side of the gay person (A brother, sister, whoever it was). Human rights should always come first, even over family and obligations and traditions.

I wouldn't refuse a gay family member, heck, if my own father came out and said he was gay, I'd support him and his decisions. I may be a cynical bastard but if there's one thing I do truly believe in and stand for, it's equal rights and personal freedom to be and do whatever you want as long as it doesn't hurt anyone.

yeah at least with my grandmother she wouldn't push away said family member, she'd just ignore it and never bring it up again lol

Most things don't really have "villains." You can have antagonists, but even that's not necessarily a guarantee since the problem doesn't need to be human in nature. In most medical dramas, for instance, the problem is the patient's condition.

to each their own I suppose. still sounds odd to me. when I think of protagonist I assume there is an antagonist.

I don't think sitcoms have protagonist. main characters maybe. but anything involving the word "agonist" implies there is some ongoing conflict.

The protagonist is the main character. And most sitcoms do, unless the sitcom revolves around a couple who have equal importance (Sanford and Son). Hell, most sitcoms *name* the protag in their title: Seinfeld. Everybody Loves Raymond. Everybody Hates Chris. Malcolm in the Middle.

There are a few shows where everybody in a group seems to have equal importance -- Friends, Traffic Lights (although really it's just the guys who have precedence), The League, etc -- but they're more exceptions than the rule. Even shows like King of the Hill and the Simpsons -- which don't denote a person in the title -- feature the dad as the protagonist (and usually the son as a secondary).

protagonist just sounds like a odd word when the show has no main ongoing conflict. when I think protagonist I think someone whos standing up to a villain over the course of the story. if thats not the case main character is what I call them.

it looks like a Star Trek fanfiction gone wrong

I thought it felt inspired by galaxy quest minus the ships crew being actors that got caught up in a real sci fi experience

which to be fair galaxy quest was a movie poking fun at star trek

Top 10 right now

*Snip*

Your interest was piqued by 20% of the titles that are in the top 10 right now. That top 10 list changes pretty frequently; liking 20% of the games on it will add up to a pretty sizable library very quickly.

Except I didnt buy either.

Edit: I listed those games because other people in this topic, such as Smarkil, seem to be referring to gaming in general instead of just PC gaming.

I was generally referring to gaming but PC gaming in particular seems to be getting the brunt of it.

Personally, I don't have a lot of interest in Zelda despite the hype. I get that's it's new for a Zelda game, but I'm extremely tired of the open world collect twigs and make a satchel style of gameplay that's so prevalent now.

As for the others on your list, frankly Sonic has never done it for me. Maybe because I grew up as a Nintendo kid, I don't know. Nier looks okay, but the weeb stuff kinda creeps me out in general. I may pick it up someday if it comes out for the right price. Horizon - See my Zelda issues. Resident Evil I'll pick up in the near future. Prey just looked like another generic 'FEAR' style FPS.

Maybe I'm just too old now so they all tend to bleed together, but very few games these days get me hyped.

Worse still, it seems most multiplayer online games get dropped after a couple of months from release. Aside from the F2P trash, games like Battlefront or any iteration of Call of Duty seem to be forgotten in minutes. I can't think of a single game within the past probably year that I would pick up and play with my friends. Dark Souls 3 was probably the most recent one that I played.

Same.

Single player games have been hurt the most in the modern era of gaming.

Im almost tempted to try Dark Souls despite my aversion to it just so I have something to do.

i'll agree the multiplayer craze has hurt gaming to me. I mean they are even cramming multiplayer into Final fantasy 15, and its not one of the MMOs they've done.

not thinking voter fraud is a thing is about as bad as being a conspiracy theory nut. I mean even if its not enough fraud to actually sway an election its still there.

yeah I would be careful in this thread, the title is clearly talking about the mods, so i'm sure they are keeping eyes on it, they don't like being talked about negatively i've learned in recent history.

from what little I know I've always assumed physics to be like zodiac bs, give very vague answers that would apply to most people if they think too hard about it and want it to be right, they will attach it to something.

For people who don't believe in this shit, is it simply because there isn't proof it it (Spirit world) actually existing?

Basically yeah. It'll just be a coincidence if they say anything I could relate to. Although not the same I have a hard time believing folk can be hypnotised too. Unless it's actually done to me I'll continue to not believe it.

the biggest load of bull I hear with hypnosis is you have to believe and be willing to have it done to you. think my grandmother tried hypnosis to quit smoking. she smoked till her dying day

Yes, including the ones who actually are likable, but make tons of dipshit decisions (e.g. Tony Stark).

speaking as a DC fanboy Tony Stark is the kind of hero as to why marvel heroes have been more popular. they are more human so to speak. they have a good heart when it comes to things like saving the world but in their personal lives they are definitely flawed people.

probably less than the average person my age, I actually sometimes have to mentally remind myself to breath as I suddenly noticed I haven't for a minute or so. unless thats normal and i've just been lied to all my life that people just breath naturally without thinking on a constant basis.
